Good for what it is

go the Ham, Cheese and Tomato Toastie. It's the first thing we look up when we get off our plane into the UK. When are the Australian Stores opening up ?

It's always a treat to visit Pret, chef prepared foods, sneaky little surprises and fast efficient staff. Crayfish salad, prawn superfood, fresh mango and lime, decaf skinny cappuccino. How healthy am I?

Every single day I spent in London, I wento to Pret a Manger. Their sandwichs are great, the cookies too, their lattes are much better than Starbucks's and it's not expensive at all. I miss this very much!

I really like Pret, I do, but for a place that obviously tries to cater to diets like gluten and dairy free they should try a bit harder to provide a few more options. A fee months ago they brought out gluten free wraps. I saw them once and only one flavor. Being allergic to onion as well there isn't... More

Whilst on a trip to London during October 2014. Have visited several pret a manger's and always found them to be value for money and good service. In our opinion they are the best coffee chain on London. Always great choice and value. Especially the savoury croissants, gorgeous and make a change from sandwiches. Staff always cheerful and helpful. Would... More

hahaha...how funny to see a bland and tasteless supermarket fast food listed as a sushi place!?!? I was here after a terrible experience at the Rock Star Sushi bar in Colliers Wood and is terrible...but at least clean, so two stars are awarded!!!

We ate at the Pret a Manger several times while touring London. It offered a wonderful variety of freshly prepared healthy foods, a wonderful break from the regular fried pub foods. As I am gluten intolerant I was very happy to see their excellent salad options. For London, we felt that the food was well priced and there are many... More

For the second time in a year I have been offered something for free at Pret. The first was a coffee in Leciester Square because they got the first order slightly wrong. The second was a Danish pastry this morning as it was mid afternoon. I was quite taken aback by the offer. Many is the time other coffee shops... More

Freshly made, with real ingredients. I had both a baguette sandwich of ham and cheese, which was very nice, and later, a "toasty" of ham, cheese, and mustard. The toasty was amazing! I want to make them at home. The sandwich was already made and wrapped, and had a note on it saying, "bring me to the front". There they... More

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
