TOURISTY BUT NICE

Have been to Dickens Inn often. It is an attractive place overlooking St. Katharine's Dock and is usually packed. Service can be a bit hit and miss but I feel the staff do their best. Went here yesterday, for a family reunion. It's a massive place but run by staff that don't seem to care or have any attention to detail. It's not a cheap place to eat or drink and the staff on a couple of occasions not just with me but other family members. When ordering meals for the kids in the party... More

We decided to eat here on a Saturday lunchtime and it was busy. Staff were friendly and efficient and service was surprisingly quick. Prices are slightly high but not outrageously so. If we were in the area again we would go back as we enjoyed the Dickens Inn. Very interesting architecture! Plenty of outdoor seating. All in all a good... More

A very elegant looking pub close to Tower Bridge with different floors for restaurants and bars. Wide selection of drinks (but did not eat anything there on our visit). The character of the exterior is captured quite well on the inside, although there are other pubs that preserve the rustic antique look a bit more. All-in-all, a lovely pub for... More

I was at this pub with my friends this week and although the venue was very cozy, situated next to the docks but the service was rather bad. We had to wait around 20-25 mins to get a single beer which I would understand if the bar would have been crowded but it was not. My overall rating is not... More

You actually feel the building represents how things may have looked back in the day. Menu is defined by pizza on one floor, grills on another floor etc. We chose to have burger and chicken pie which turned out to be a good choice, very filling and tasty

They don't know what a good Sunday roast is, the meat was too cooked, I guess it has been pre-cooked long before lunch time!!! Awful! Just go for drinks because of the location!

Called by here tonight for dinner with the family - no starters apart from olives and garlic bread, 2 pizzas, 2 lasagnes, 3 lemonades, 1 beer and 1 wine and total came to £120. Pizzas definitely not the best I've had and lasagne very middle of the road.

The views are nice and in a sunny afternoon you can enjoy the terrace. Other than that this place is a turist trap with bad service rude and untrained waiters and horrible food.

We arrived and were seated by a waiter who told us to wait 2 minutes until he cleared the table, which is fine, however another waitress came up to us and I said three times "we are being served" and she didn't understand a word we were saying, huffed and walked off. What a outrageous way to treat customers! We... More
