Leave it to the tourists

Very large pub/restaurant, which is alright for a quick pint but there's plenty of better places to dine in the docks. Cafe Rouge for example.

We stopped by here at lunch time on a bank holiday. As expected it was busy. We went to the bar area and ordered drinks and some food. I don't think I can remember when I have had more brusque service. And make sure you know your table number! This isn't about service it's about processing you through. The food... More

The Dickens Inn has three floors, each with a different theme. My wife wanted Italian so we chose the third floor. It was a warm day in May and we got a table on the porch. The views were perfect. However, many items on the menu were not available, especially what I wanted. We had cannelloni and it was bland,... More

I know this pub has had a lot of stick saying it's a tourist trap etc etc.......But come on you are a 1 min walk from Tower Bridge and The Tower Of London.....I found the prices to be fair and food very good.£55.00 for two pizzas garlic bread bottle of wine...The wine was £20.00 I don't think you can complain... Came here with a friend for dinner. The place was pretty empty, walked toward the balcony for a seat when 'Salvo' the 'Team Leader' came across shouting 'what are you doing? Look at the sign! Can you not read!?!' .... Obviously after being spoken to like this we decided not to dine here... Perhaps you should try training your staff... More

I just visited this pub come restaurant come pizzeria in St Katherine's Docks next to Tower Bridge with family that were visiting from Zambia. I have lived in London for 24 years and have never been so ashamed. Ashamed because the prices there are so ridiculous. We paid £18.88 for two pints of beer and a glass of red wine.... More

The Dickens Inn at St. Katherine's Docks is a great place to eat before or after your visit to the Tower of London.

We (family of 11) came here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday in May. We booked via Opentable and had no problems when we had to change the booking. The food choice in the Grill is very good, our party mainly went for pate to start and steak/mix grillls for mains. All the plates were cleared and with... More

I visited this picturesque, old fashion, wooden beamed pub on Sunday. Although the prices for the Sunday roast lunch seemed quite expensive compared to others around my friends and I decided to go for it and I am so pleased I did. I ordered the tradition roast beef Sunday roast. The beef was plentiful and succulent. The roast potatoes were... More
