busy but pretty

Pretty formulaic pub now despite the fabulous location. Very busy so don't expect quick service but still worth a quick visit to see the beautiful flowers - nice in the sunshine.

Found this pub when on a business trip - great atmosphere, and character, with wooden beams and floors. Nice outside space overlooking St Catherine's dock and near to Tower Bridge.

Popular pub for drinks after work, and you can see what. The building screams character and they have a range of ales and beers to choose from. Friendly atmosphere and nice views. Not eaten there before but drinks are pricey.

We had lunch in the upstairs grill. Service was fast all round but we weren't rushed at all which is nice. Food was good, we had two courses and a pot of tea afterwards, decent price for two people in London.

The dickens is always a good choice! Great venue, amazing view...ideal both for a drink or a dinner (not so great pizza, but the grill is really nice!)

Been here 4 times. Food can be both great and mediocre, leaning towards the mediocre most of the time. The location is great, but unfortunately, as with many of the resturants around St. Katharines, I get the feeling they rely too much on location, and focus a little less on quality. The Grill, on the top floor serves a decent... More

Restaurant looks like an old dock warehouse depending on type of food you want depends on the floor you go to bar food down stairs pizza etc first floor and grill on the next. It's hidden away in a corner just a stones throw from tower-bridge- food was very nice and very hot I would recommend it to all.

Is all I can say positive Eat on the top floor 2 course meal for 4. The food was im sure from Brake Brothers or even could have been Iceland's! Vey poor/average pub grub totally £173.18 A hidden service charge of £19.12 was just the last straw that broke the camels back A dash to the toilet for my son... More

A Londoner writes: The location makes it popular. But also makes it a tourist trap. £5.25 for a pint is, even by London standards, pushing it. Coupled with a shocking lack of service from the bar staff (I'm going to ignore you repeatedly while fawning over everyone else) Indifferent food (sausages and mash OK, hunter's chcken dry, tough and over-cooked)... On a Sunday evening in July, I chose to dine in the second floor grill (ground is pub/tavern and first is pizzeria). Although pretty busy around and in pub there were tables free inside (there are outside balconies on upper floors), I found the service faultless (apart from bit of a delay in the bill arriving). I had garlic mushrooms... More
