Superb watering hole but food lacks love

This place is in a gorgeous part of london; St Katherine dock and the dickens inn is difficult to miss. I've been here a few times we watched the World Cup finals here and it was just the perfect evening. We visited recently to try the restaurant upstairs which looked amazing; a great barn style... read more

Great atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. Just be careful of the outside furniture as it is falling apart !!! otherwise I highly recommend a visit.

We have visited this pub for a drink a couple of months ago and found it a lovely place to watch the world go by in. But be warned.....the food isn't good! Service is great but my hunters chicken was dry and tasteless and my chips barely lukewarm. I should have complained, maybe my review would have been different had... More

I have visited a lot of pubs in the UK, as well as NZ, Down Under and other places, but this was definitely the worst pub I have ever come across. On a busy Sat evening, the pub kitchen was closed (probably only for tourists, I wonder), as I was told rather laconically when ordering. It was suggested to go... More

This traditional pub/restaurant is in a lovely location with great views. The staff were friendly & service was good. It was such a shame the food let it down badly. We are not a fussy family & our children eat a very broad variety of food, so it was very disappointing to be served food that was verging on cold.... More

Great pub, great setting. Good selections of drink. But we went updatirs to eat in the Pizzeria and it went down hill quickly. The pizzas were very pricey and our burritos came with just a handful of tortillas with no dip or sauce offered. When we enquired about some guacamole we were given a small dish of some pretty poor... More

It's upstairs which is hard for me & the toilets are down stairs from inside so way too many stairs for me. There are tables outside (very popular) but plenty spare inside in June. You order at the bar. The food was average at best. My fish & chips was not great. Wouldn't eat here again, would eat from one... More

The location was good and convenient to us for sure, but I don't recommend dining here in particular. It was a bit expensive as well. Fish 'n chips can be found cheaper folks! I had better food from places I don't remember the names of straight off the street... Eat somewhere else.

Visited after a lovely lunch to finish off the day. Long queues to be served, a female member of bar staff was having a row with her boyfriend on the other side of the bar. Music very loud and could not hear what was being said to you but its a rip off with drink prices, £9.70 for a glass... More

The pub part of the Dickens Inn is good, I've been a few times and never had any complaints. There are two parts to the restaurant - a pizzeria on the first floor and a meat place on the second floor. We went to the pizzeria and the service was horrendous. My wife is lactose-intolerant and ordered the goat's cheese... More
