The festive tea this year is very special, a clever savoury Christmas pie accompanies delicate sandwiches. The spiced Christmas jam is subtley tangy and perfectly sweet, the patisserie is genuinely brilliant. A lemon meringue pie crafted into a richly decorated Christmas tree stands out. As ever outstanding service, friendly yet formal. Breastgate aside I can't rate the service and general... More

My wife and I had both wanted to visit one of the four top hotels in London having never been into a five star hotel. All afternoon teas had been booked up months before, but we wondered if we could just pop in for a drink. Having looked at The Savoy, The Ritz and unfortunately having had to eliminate The... More

We had been given present of a champagne cream tea and looked forward to it. Arrived in the lobby and it was chaotic. There was a tribute to Watership Down at the foot of very badly decorated Christmas tree. Nodding rabbits like a poor Disney film. No crib, perhaps they don't want to offend the Muslims. Went to the till... More

This was my 2nd visit to Claridges for afternoon tea, but my first festive one. Everything was amazing from start to finish. We even managed to sit at the same table no 8! The service was fantastic, it's amazing how they can pre empt what you need before you even realise. The food was delicious, we couldn't eat all of... More

We came here for coffee and dessert after dinner. The service's very attentive and friendly. The cellist and pianist played the music beautifully too. Love Claridge's around X'mas time. This year the designer of the Christmas tree is by Dolce & Gabbana.

Our group have dined here on several occasions and again we were not disappointed. A friendly welcome and the usual attentive staff. We ate from the set menu, each course was outstanding. The flavours amazing too. We finished off with tea and petit fours. We will be returning in the new year.

I booked afternoon tea to celebrate my sister's birthday and also a treat for another sister that lives outside of London. We arrived and were delayed in being seated due to wedding taking place and also the lovely corner booth that we have enjoyed before was also taken by guests that had not finished on time. I spoke to the... More

A pre-Christmas treat was afternoon tea here. Glittering unique Christmas decorations set the scene in this historic Art Deco hotel, this year the tree designed by Dolce and Gabbana. Outstanding service, every item of this delicious and special tea was beautifully presented, even an extra course of a small Xmas pudding flamed at the table! Just when all was over,... More

Today my friend and I had a christmas afternoon tea at claridges and this was the best afternoon tea we have ever had. Staff were lovely, accommodating and attentive. The whole atmosphere was everything you would expect from a quality hotel, with a lovely Christmas feel. We had lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones with a lovely champagne. And we were... More

We were given an afternoon tea voucher as a wedding present and it was great. The sandwiches keep on coming and the service was on point, can't fault it other than for the same price you can go to the Ritz and the experience just beats it.
