Disappointing

I have dined in several Patisserie Valerie restaurants and this was by far the most disappointing. My sister had a Greek salad which was a few lettuce leaves with feta cheese and olives with dry pitta bread - most boring & uninspiring. I had a mixed vegetable ciabatta with salad & crisps which was... read more

My sister had a Greek salad which was a few lettuce leaves with feta cheese and olives with dry pitta bread - most boring & uninspiring. Not the best Patisserie Valerie I've visited - they seem to be suffering from stretched standards. as the chain grows in size its lose touch with what made in good in the first place. It was busy I'll give them that but so busy that the floor cannot be kept clean? Or can being busy excuse iced tea that had... More

We thought that this was going to be delicious, drinks (tea and coffee) were OK, but the chef cannot cook scrambled eggs, they were dry and inedible even with a load of seasoning, accompanying toast, one slice was only cooked one side, and had to ask for butter. Did not eat this. I would say cakes look good, but you... More

Last saturday 14th Feb being valentines day I, my husband our parents and a family member from cyprus who studies at huddersfield university and was visiting us, popped into patisserie Valerie on Charing cross road as we were local to there and as it is a standard visit when we are in London. We normally visit the one opposite the... More

Its Saturday evening 14 Feb and its 10pm. We finally park the car and walk towards my favourite Valerie where our daughter and friends were waiting for us. Admittedly I had never visited this one. We had called up previously and told that it closes at 11.30 and they stop people entering at 10.50 ; fair enough. Two miserable girls... More

Too busy. Took ages to get served. Bechemel sauce was cold and glutinous. Poor service. Hot chocolates not even stirred and lukewarm. This is a tourist cafe

I only stopped in for tea and bun... It was good tea and a VERY good bun. The pot of tea for one filled my cup three times, at middling strength. Sugar and sweeteners were available on the table. Service was prompt, the place is clean and the food was, based on anecdotal evidence, very good. I did not east,... More

We popped in for a coffee and cake break while shopping, although there is limited seating and it is rather cramped i would give it a go. The coffee was very nice but the Gateau was out of this world i had the Strawberry and my wife had the Black Forest . There are probably better places to dine if... More

I visited here with my wife and daughter for a quick lunchtime snack before we went to the matinee of Les Miserables. What enticed us in was the fantastic looking French patisserie on display. A table quickly became available and we were promptly seated and handed menus. On perusing the menu we realised that there were rather more substantial lunches... More
