Set on one of the streets off of Trafalgar Square this is a tasty place for lunches and frys. Staff friendly and food nice. Also seemed clean and not expensive considering the location.

Son had pizza 8/10. Full English for hubby was a huge plateful and good for a hungry person but egg stained black underneath Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Miss this out Eggs microwaved not scrambled so chewy very salty cheep salmon. Happy, satisfied and disappointed all at the same table.

We love Garfunkels restaurants, not just this one, but I had to choose one of them and this is the one we have visited most! The menu is varied enough that we can have something different each time we go there, but they have meals which we would have time and time again. The meals look like the pictures on... More

We found this restaurant following other recommendations and it was fine. In our case, the restaurant was crawled and we had to wait a few minutes a table. The service and the food were fine.

This was proberly the worst place I have ever eaten it was vile. Dreadful food awful service I would never go again still makes me feel sick thinking about it. Every thing that could be bad was. So it must survive on the tourists who don't know any better.

Stayed at a hotel nearby where we chose not to have breakfast as it was wildly expensive. Garfunkels was nearby. For £18 we had coffee, and two delicious breakfasts. Service was excellent. Restaurant was clean as were the toilets. All the food was freshly cooked and we really enjoyed it. Although on a noisy/busy street (nice to watch working folk... More

Not so good food at decent prices. Go next door to Café Concerto (another chain) for a better meal. Outdoor dining on the street can be nice if the weather is, and if the huge crowds are not spilling over from Trafalgar square.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
