Had a lovely afternoon at the Dorchester. Service was amazing - Marvin who looked after us couldn't of made us feel more welcome, he made it v clear you could eat as much as you like! And he recommended some fab teas - would defs recommend the Paris blend. For me the music really added to the afternoon as the... More

I visited The Promenade at The Dorchester Hotel on the 15th November 2014 for afternoon tea. My subsequent letter to the manager of the hotel regarding my experience is below. Dear Mr Fasal, I am writing to tell you how disappointed I was at the complete lack of professionalism and incredibly poor standard of service provided by staff at The... More

As part of our visit to London, we arranged to have high tea at The Dorchester. It was a wonderful experience. The decor is stunningly luxurious with flower displays that are beautiful and picture perfect. Service is outstanding and you truly feel like royalty here. The selection of teas is impressive and you can start the experience with champagne, which... More

I've written a review of The Dorchester before but went there for afternoon tea again today, for my birthday, so thought I'd do an update. It's still beautiful - the flowers in particular were terrific - but the tea itself simply isn't as good as it used to be. The sandwiches were lovely - I love the chicken ones in... More

My wife and I had the Champagne Afternoon Tea recently. The service was impeccable, with the staff being efficient and polite whilst not being over intrusive. The courses of sandwiches, scones and cakes allow you to have as much as you like. The Promenade Room us decorated in traditional style with amazing flower arrangements. Would thoroughly recommend coming here.

This was the finale of a fabulous celebration weekend with friends in London. Our friends booked a late afternoon vintage champagne tea which is taken on the balcony overlooking The Promenade - more intimate and quieter than The Promenade as there are only about half a dozen tables (we loved it but some might find this less enjoyable). This was... More

There was so much left they kindly put what we left in a box for us to take home and we did not... More

The promenade at the Dorchester is a wonderful place to unwind and I have been a couple of times though was disappointed this time with the service. It was basically rather slow and chummy, quite unfitting for the Dorchester. The lack of formality appeared contrived and very American. While this may appeal to some customer groups, the secret to outstanding... More
