I wanted to go somewhere special with my friends for my birthday, so after looking at several places decided on the Dorchester. Our table was booked for 15:15, however, they were running late and seated us at 15:30, and this was no issue at all. We were lucky enough to be seated near the piano player, which was great. We... We were given this luxurious treat for our birthdays and went for a champagne tea on a Sunday in The Promenade at The Dorchester in London. First we sat in the bar, as we were early for our table, and had a cocktail with the most sumptuous olives and nuts and when our table was ready we started with a... More

Afternoon Tea in Style! The Promenade is an amazing setting very comfortable with excellent service and very good food choices. Their light evening menu is also a pleasure with piano music. It is very convenient to book online and reserve your table.

I took my mum to The Dorchester for the Vintage Afternoon Tea on the Balcony and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything tasted lovely and the staff were wonderful. The sandwiches were tasty and wonderfully prepared. The scones were nice and worm and the cakes were just delightful. Mum said was the best birthday she's ever had and I would... More

Enormous opulent floral displays fill the room with color. The furnishing include small couches with fabulous pillows. Beautiful statues are positioned around the room and there is plenty of space in this wonderful space. Make sure you have breakfast! Outstanding.

If you are a fan of high tea, or just love to eat your weight in scones as I do, you will love high tea at The Dorchester. The staff KNOWS high tea and the ambiance is impeccable and serene. Afternoon Tea is a delight, plentiful supply of everything with constant offerings to refill your plates with sandwiches, pastries, scones etc or Tea Pot. Breakfast is actually nicer here than in The Grill. Diner is good. The huge benefit of eating in The Promenade is to people watch, it is quite amazing who actually goes to the Dorchester. The setting is just beautiful, with flower arrangements that are about 10 feet high! The service is impeccable, the staff incredibly accommodating to requests. The scones are the best I've had. I love coming to tea here whenever I'm in London

After 20+ years of working in the airline industry I have stayed at various top notch hotels worldwide. The Dorchester was still on my "To do" list. When a close friend visited London for the first time, I invited her to experience a traditional afternoon tea at the Dorchester. We were booked for 01 Apr at 1515. Each sitting has... More

This was our first time in London and first time doing afternoon tea. It was fantastic! While it is a very swanky place in a traditional sense, the waiter was funny and made us feel very comfortable and not like a bunch of newbies! We had the Rose champagne afternoon tea and the champagne was excellent, its definitely not cheap... More
