My sister and I recently had Afternoon Tea at The Promenade. We were really looking forward to an amazing treat to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment from start to finish. I specifically noted on the booking that it was a special occasion and gave my sister's name. I also emailed the hotel a few days... More

I went there with my mother and my aunt and we were just amazed! As a starter, a glass of champagne, chilled and bubbly! The sandwiches of different types, try the cheese and the salmon. The choice of teas is indeed superb. Perfect afternoon teas, served in English pottery, a lot of choice and a true discovery. And at the... More

Took my daughter here for her 20th birthday and was not disappointed, it was excellent. You are greeted by lovely friendly staff as soon as you walk in and are shown to your table, the setting is beautiful and the flower displays stunning. Sandwiches and scones fresh, cakes pieces of art, pots of tea renewed, service first class. Piano played... More

If you want that something extra, then the promenade for a bite to eat or a drink offers just that. I'd recommend having breakfast their after staying in the hotel.

Took my 75 year old mother for a treat as she had heard some great reviews about afternoon tea at the Dorchester and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. Yes, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel is beautiful but the food was diabolical. Never have I paid so much for so little. The finger... More

We came here for afternoon tea to celebrate my sister's birthday. We had a lovely table with plenty of space and not close to other tables. This was good as I did request a quiet table. All the tables are actually well spaced. The Promenade is long and bigger than I expected but our table did feel intimate. I wanted... More

This was my first visit to a London Hotel for afternoon tea and it exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and plentiful, the staff friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble for them. My daughter and I have dietary requirements and these were catered for without any fuss or bother. Our tea and coffee was replenished frequently... More

There would be no better afternoon tea I'm sure. The food, presentation and service left nothing to be desired. Every time I entered staff approached and I enjoyed coffee while chatting.. This was very good as I was on my own.
