Finally finding the time to write a review two months after my visit, prompted by someone telling me about their similar experience. The only good thing about this 'Tea at the Ritz experience' is that I did not pay for it as it was a present from friends for a special occasion. I felt sorry for them as, by the... More

I took tea at The Ritz with my sister and mother and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious, and plentiful, there was certainly no scrimping here! There was a very nice selection of sandwiches, cakes and warm scones and unlimited tea and coffee. The staff were excellent, always ready to be of assistance but unobtrusive. The... More

Yes, its expensive (Champagne Afternoon Tea £59), but it isn't bad value for money. Unlimited tea, from a wide selection, beautiful prepared finger sandwiches (replenished), scones and fancy cakes, all with a pianist beautifully playing the background. The service is wonderful, the staff are not intrusive, but on hand. Opulent and wonderful. Have been before and will definitely go again!

Well, I think for those reading this should know how popular it is and because of that the shop has offered its signature afternoon team from morning till dawn. We had a the last round at 19:30, serving it as dinner. The enviornment is so classy and elegant which would make you have a complete feeling of having "high" tea.... More

as a christmas present we had an afternoon champagne tea. The room is beautiful although the table we were sat at needed cork coins underneath to stop it wobbled. The waiter produced them from his pocket as we sat down and the table wobbled! excellent proactive action to a problem! The staff were all very helpful and nothing was to... More

We went for the celebration afternoon tea for my mother's birthday. Such a beautiful venue to have afternoon tea in. My mother had always wanted to go to the Ritz for tea and she certainly wasn't disappointed. The tea choice was spectacular (the lemon verbena goes very well). One of our guests was gluten intolerant and was provided for without... More

My wife had booked Champagne Afternoon Tea as one of my Christmas presents. What a wonderful experience - with seemingly unlimited food and tea, and live music. We opted for the 7.30pm time which generated a lovely atmosphere within the place. A couple at the next table got engaged during tea which was fun to witness! Glad to have done... More

We had tea at the Ritz in November, and it was wonderful. Now we have had dinner there as a treat from our daughters. Everything was absolutely perfect. I love that there is a dress code, and that the waiters are in bow tie and tails. If you think this means the ambience is snooty, you couldn't be more wrong.... More

Took parents for afternoon tea - cant fault the food or the service. Everyone was extremely attentive for the outset - sandwiches, cakes and tea were superb and the ambiance couldn't be replicated elsewhere. A wonderful experience.
