Valentine's dinner with the whole family

Roux a The Landau offers a family friendly service and culinaristic experience. We staid in the hotel so the restaurant was an easy access. My sister and I had an early 5.30pm Du Jour menu dinner here on a Wednesday in March 2015. We were blown away with how amazingly attentive and well turned- out the service was without being stuffy and unrelatable. We felt like the staff really wanted us to have a great experience and all were helpful, friendly and personable. We... More

A bit of a belated review, having eaten here back in December but here we go. My other half loves the Roux family and so I took him here for his birthday, it being my first experience of a Roux restaurant and I have to say, the food was outstanding. Though it was four months ago, I still recall the... More

The dining room is beautifully decorated at the Roux. The service is excellent and all the staff are very welcoming and attentive. The food is very tasty and what you would expect for the price paid. The atmosphere was lovely and not too busy but it was great that it wasn't in an uncomfortable silence. I had the brunch with... More

Birthday dinner at Roux with high expectations and we were not disappointed. Perfect service by a well trained staff, a beautiful room and very good food. If one thing could be improved I would have liked to see a little more contrast in the tast of their fish dishes. A little crunch, spice or some other element to stand against... More

Came here on the 19th March 2015 with my friend whilst on a short break in London. Was greeted warmly, coats taken and hung up, then taken to the bar whilst our table was being relaid (we were early). Purchased a bottle of wine, and was given complimentary nibbles. We were then taken to our table within 15 minutes. As... More

Michel Roux is a great chef; we all know that. He comes from a family who have done more to further the quality of British cuisine than any others in the last fifty years. He has trained and supported a great team of chefs that credit him and his restaurant. We visited the Landau because my daughter is a foodie.... More

This place is amazing, the food was so good and the service was perfect. From the moment that you check your cost to the last coffee or tea the service and food is impeccable. Definitely one of the best meals that I have ever had. We went with the set menu with half a bottle of wine for £45 and... More

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
