Well, there are few cheap and cheerful places to dine in London at Christmas so why not take a deep breath and spoil yourself? My husband and I did just that last night at the Langham. We ordered two rather pricey but fabulous cocktails at the decadent Artisan bar and were very impressed by the service we received. The atmosphere... More

We met some friends here for Sunday lunch and we all really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is very elegant and the tables are a good distance from their neighbours. A pianist played the whole time we were there and there was absolutely no urgency to leave the table. There is a set menu on Sundays @£45 per head including a... More

Enjoyed a package deal three course lunch with wine and coffee with my daughter on her birthday. We started with a couple of complementary tasters each, then I had the pork cheek to start and veal for main which were excellent. My daughter enjoyed the mackerel starter and duck breast. The duck breast was cooked to absolute perfection and full... More

We have been to many places in London but 'Roux at The Landau' is our favourite haunt! The service and the food is impeccable! The staff is amazing and always go the extra mile. We don't bother with other posh places. We can highly recommend 'Roux at The Landau'. Pop into the 'Artesian' bar for a cheeky aperitif. The cocktails... More

Managed to get a table for 2 here on a Friday evening and we decided to keep choices to a minimum by going for the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Parts of the menu we perhaps wouldn't have ordered otherwise, but there wasn't a bad dish on there by any means. The highlight was definitely the scallop with... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
