Ok, daughter on school trip entertaining Italians with vocals and violin: check. Posh restaurant booked: check. Superb food and service: check. The food is superb as you'd expect from Michael Roux, some of the lovelier twists included the minute amount of basil with strawberries (no, it works) and the waiter arriving with a 'rice krispie cake' - I promise you... Splurged for the chefs menu (reasonable at £6 a head without wine) however we would have gone for the toptable/open table £35 for three courses and a glass of champagne had it not been our anniversary. Delicious food, though the reason it does haven't a Michelin star is perhaps some of the dishes don't push the boundaries just enough. However... More

I have been lucky enough to dine at many top places in the city, and Roux at the Landau is definitely at the very top. We booked on an Open Table offer and the value was tremendous - 3 courses and champagne for 36.50/person. Food was seasonal and inventive, service excellent and the setting very special. This is a place... More

It was my husband's birthday so wanted to go somewhere special. The Landau was superb. Service, food and total experience couldn't be faulted. They even took note from my booking that it was a birthday celebration so brought out an unexpected sweet treat. Would definitely return

I went here for a meal with my family and enjoyed the whole experience. The setting is lovely and service from start to finish was exceptional. We ordered off the A la carte menu; for a starter I had the leek and potato soup which was lovely, I had the fillet of beef for main which I couldn't have imagined... More

My husband and I booked Roux at the Landau for our 27th wedding anniversary/my birthday as we had some vouchers for the set dinner. Some establishments treat such customers as "second class" but most certainly not here. From calling to make the reservation to leaving at the end of the evening, the staff were polite, quietly attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.... More

Totally lived up to my expectations and more! The staff were quietly attentive to every need but not intrusive. The Wine Man had excellent knowledge and recommended a beautiful drop! The food was amazing! I am an avid Food TV follower living in NZ and to finally dine in such an amazing place was a dream come true :)

I took my husband here for his birthday ( we had a very good deal through bookatable.com so might be worth checking it out to see if there are deals on when you want to go!) we really enjoyed 2 different glasses of red wine, one was a Rioja and it was one of the best glasses of Rioja I... More
