A little let down I'm afraid.

For a Valentine's meal at such a renowned restaurant, I had very high expectations. Maybe that was my downfall. The restaurant itself is very simply decorated so I felt I was missing the wow factor. We ate early for the set menu on Valentine's Day and as such, the atmosphere felt a little flat. I'm... read more

We have dined at many restaurants of this caliber and this is my favorite restaurant in London. It is unpretentious in all aspects whether it be the food, the service or the atmosphere. They have a great wine list and prices are so reasonable. Previously we've had the set menu however on this occasion we had the tasting menu. The... More

I have to say this has become one of my favourite restaurants. I dined here last Friday with ze man and we both loved everything we had. The food was beautifully presented and the taste was there to match. I have to say my lamb main melted in my mouth and the chocolate dessert was to die for. Go, you... More

We badly needed your savoir faire to sort out the shambles at our Landau lunch today. The restaurant was barely half full at 12.45 but it took 20 minutes before the bread arrived, 45 minutes to get our first course and 1 hour and 15 minutes for the mains. The desserts had to be wolfed down as we had run... More

A nice enough place to go for an afternoon lunch. The fixed price menu (£35) was quite reasonable for 3 courses which were all cooked to a decent standard. Only gripe being that the meringue tart was so sickenly sweet I couldn't eat it. Others in my party though didn't have the same problem! Service was polite and courteous. While... More

Bringing together the formidable talents of Albert and Michel Roux Jr with their protégé Chris King, this comfortable, light and airy restaurant, housed in the historic 150 year old Langham Hotel, serves superb food in elegant surroundings. The perfect pit stop for a deluxe lunch at the top of London's premier shopping mecca, Regent Street. Great value is the restaurant's... More

Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful and the service was discreet and professional. The food was wonderful - not pretentious, but with some amazing flavours. Really some of the best food I have ever tasted. We paid £35 for three courses with a glass of wine, and were given a delicious amuse bouche to begin and... More

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
