Having been to the Dorchester and the Ritz, i was expecting a similar type of service. On the plus side thestaff were polite and courteous however i felt our afternoon was let down for the following reasons: Once the sandwiches were brought over we were not aked if we would like our sandwich plate refreshed as in the other hotels.... Dined on Friday 21st November. To start, we had the Roast Cornish squid with salt-cod brandade and Espelette pepper - super portion of squid with bite, chestnut soup - presentation and taste delectable. For mains, Wild seabass with a young artichoke, Serrano ham and sherry ragoût and the halibut - perfectly cooked delivering the freshness and the taste of the... More

My first thought on walking into the restaurant was that it was going to be pretty stuffy. I'm happy to say I was wrong. The service was attentive, the menu attractive and competitively priced. I had the pasta with black truffle which was great. It looked small but it was very rich and quite heavy so the portion size was... More

Very much enjoyed our lunch experience. We ate from the Menu du Jour which included a bottle of water, half bottle of wine each, coffee and petit fours. Felt this was very good value. Everything was of excellent quality, well flavoured and seasoned. The restaurant decor is quiet and tasteful and the tables not too close together. Service was impeccable... More

We visited the Roux on a Saturday night with another couple and we were hoping for something really special - we were not disappointed! A beautiful dining room and perfect atmosphere. The food was excellent - it looked beautiful and tasted fantastic. The only slight criticism I would have is we ordered a bottle of Champagne on arrival and before... More

I know it sounds boring but it was the best calamari I have had, bearing in mind we have squid frequently at home this is an accolade. We went in the private dining room for a friends 25 aniversary meal, 20 people it was a great meal with faultless unobtrusive service and great view as the room forms the corner... More

We had an absolutely lovely meal here while in London recently. The food was absolutely exquisite. It's a beautiful and busy dining room. It was a special treat for our anniversary. We can't give a 5 star rating due to service. It was excellent to start but we sat for quite some time after dinner and before our dessert order... More

Treated the wife for our 5 year (first date!) anniversary, yes there's an anniversary for everything! Have to admit I was quite anxious as recently going Gluten Free not many 'top-end' restaurants have been inspiring or attractive! Must say that I was pleasantly surprised! GF was no problem for the staff & kitchen.. in fact all our 'tasting menu' was... More
