This pub is both classic and unique. There is what is called I guess a "snob screen" around one of the tables to make things more private, but the couple sitting there left it open. Great selection of cask ales. The atmosphere is relaxed and it is a great place to sip a pint and imagine Dickens writing near you.... More

This pub has a great selection of real ales, continually changing, and well managed by the slightly eccentric landlord ( or LambLord, as he is known!). The staff are all very friendly and well informed about the beers they sell. The music isn't too loud, the atmosphere is always great. I've never seen a place quite like it - a... More

Easily the hardest review to date. The outside is clearly a pub but once inside you could think it was a cafe as to your left is a display cabinet filled with artisan cheeses. The pub is managed by a wine and cheese company. The menu is limited but interesting. Cheese and bacon bread and butter pudding. Also ham and... More

If like me you aren't too fond of pubs with loud music then come here. It's an original and very creative pub that is making a big point on the Surbiton scene. The cheese plates are lovely, they also have a good range of ale and wine, and the staff are helpful. The managers are a bit bonkers but that's... More

Have visited about a dozen times in the last year, and love the pub. The cheese board is out of this world, with some really great unique cheeses to choose from. This pub changed my opinion of children in pubs completely. Saturday daytime expect to see lot's of children, but they are busy making crafts and playing games together while... More

While staying in Surbiton for a few days I discovered this pub enroute to the Thames Pathway. Not your traditional English pub, it's hip, quirky and unique, with a fine selection of traditional ales on tap. I didn't sample food, but just sat near the door and enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere on a Saturday night. The locals are quite friendly and... More

The Lamb is a small pub that sells several kinds of good local beers and specialises in British regional cheeses. It is also the centre of many local activities such as sports days and charitable events and as such attracts a mixed crowd, far from the stereotype of 'real ale pub' though it is deservedly popular with real ale fans... The Lamb is a unique and relaxing pub with good food and nice beer. It also has an interesting cross section of punters which just adds to its appeal. If you are in Surbiton and fancy reading the paper with a nice pint, don't go anywhere else.
