I love my food the other night me and my work mate were near by, hungry, thought we would enjoy it. But was very disappointed the service was ok, price not bad, but sadly food wasn't all that, our naan bread seemed dry not cooked properly, 2ndly the portions were very small, all in all bit disappointed won't be going... Having been here a few times ordering off the main menu, we thought we would go with our two children for the Sunday buffet. Got there at 1pm. Not a soul in the place. Alarm bells already ringing. Drinks took ages to arrive esp as there was no one else to serve at the time. Buffet consisted of two non... More

I've been a vegetarian for 23 years. I adore Indian food. I've just been introduced to this restaurant and It serves THE most delicious vegetarian dishes - perfect flavourings for a vegetarian palette - it should have a West End base and be packed every night. I'm certain the meat dishes are as tasty - but if you are a... More

The food was absolutely delicious, the coconut rice was a bit too sweet for me, enjoyed everything else friendly staff and fast service will definitely go back.

Just had a take away (trying to find a Raj Poot replacement). Food was bland and overly salty. Nan bread tasted old, very dry. Ok if stuck for somewhere to order from but there must be better around.

The food was absolutely dire. We had ordered 2 x chicken tikka masala. It arrived in a sea of sauce and 5 thinly sliced small pieces of chicken. (Compared to a supermarket meal the amount of chicken was about a third.) When I complained I was informed that that was the normal sized portion. (I eat Indian meals on a... More

We've been to the Taj Mahal in Streatham a couple of times now as well as got a take out from there and it is honestly the best Indian food I've had. We now have our 'favourite' dishes on the menu - the butter chicken (ask for chicken breast), lamb korai, keema naan, keema rice, pilau rice, onion bhajis. That... More

From time to time (sadly not often enough) one has an agreeable surprise when visiting a restaurant. Such is certainly true of the Taj Mahal restaurant just off Streatham Hill in London. Although beginning to tidy itself up, Streatham is not one of the world's 'must see' destinations, and so a visit to any establishment tends to be viewed with... More

Went on a Saturday evening. Surprisingly quiet (which was nice). I have to say the portions were big - just like the Indian restaurants of my youth. Food was nice. Staff very friendly. All in all a pleasant evening.
