Good beers

Group of us from work stopped in here for a few drinks before our dinner reservation next door. It was a fairly busy Thursday, early evening, with very few seats left. There is a good range of draught beers and local ales to choose from.

Myself and a few girlfriends went to this cute little pub last night and were so pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing and there was a really good atmosphere! All the staff were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. None of us had ever been here before but were so glad we found it! We will all definitely... More

Came here for a Sunday lunch with friends, you can tell its a popular place as we sat down just before 1 and next thing you know it was packed! We all went for the roast option; beef, pork and chicken and there was nothing but good feedback from all of us. I personally had the chicken, it was huge... More

Dear Sir I am deeply shocked by your review and of course deeply sorry that you have been so upset by this incident. We have of course under taken an investigation into this; it is most unlike the team at the Prince Of Wales to behave in such a way and if you would be kind enough to contact us... More

Booked a table on Tuesday and explained that I was having a lunch meeting and that I would need a quiet area and that's exactly what I got, corner table for four in the quaint Dining room at the back of the pub away from all the drinkers, beautifully decorated and the food was top notch, reasonably priced and impressed... Arrived 3pm for Sunday lunch to be told there was no chicken no yorkshire puddings and no dessert. Ordered very expensive menu alternatives which were mediocre. Lamb was delicious but portion was tiny. Beef was poor, chewy tough cut. Pork belly was also poor, tough and chewy while the fat was not crackling at all. Service was nice which was... More

Pub is packed and all tables reserved so must be doing something right. However food was expensive and not really good enough. £6 for 5 pieces of salt and pepper squid? I then had squash and brocolli risotto which was a tasteless lump of rice with 3 pieces of tenderstem brocolli on top. A few pieces of squash but all... More

One of the worst evenings out in a while. Been to Prince of Wales now and again and visited with my partner and friend expecting an enjoyable night out. I ordered ordered the Duck etc.. All fine except the duck was as tough as a rubber and over cooked when it was sold as pink. It was so tough that... More

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to let us know about your visit - this clearly fell short of your and our expectations for which we are genuinely sorry. We have of course remedied the issues and I fully believe the team at the Prince will ensure that this type of issue does not occur again. Peter More

I have dined here a few times, and the food has always been solid. But the star of the show at this pub is the bar snacks, and in particular the scotch egg. I must have eaten scotch eggs at over 100 places over the past decade, all over London, and I can honestly say without doubt these are the... More
