Similar to the review below, I wanted to write to warn people that this restaurant by Oxford circus is closed. Booked a table on Wednesday over the phone for last night. My partner and I arrived for a birthday meal and the restaurant was all boarded up with a note stuck to the door stating that restaurant has been closed.... More

This restaurant in Argyll Street London has closed. We made a confirmed by email booking for September 9th through the Open Table website. When we arrived the restaurant had been shut down and equipment was being removed. The booking was made a few days earlier and it would seem from other reviews that the restaurant was operating on Sept 7th.... More

We arrived to an empty restaurant. After 5 minutes of waiting to be seated we eventually seated ourselves. It took a further 15min to get drinks. The tables had not cleared and remained that way for the duration of the drinks. When I commented on my disstisfaction to the manager (Shahin), he argued with us that the place was busy... More

Am a big fish lover so really enjoyed the crab bruschetta and the fish platter. The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but would be really nice for a special occasion. The service was excellent. I agree with a previous reviewer - the toilet was lovely and clean and smelt great. Well worth a visit.

My niece and I visited this restaurant and I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The service was decent. Although food portions looked really tiny but they are quite delicious and filling. There is a huge aquarium tank with a variety of fish and lobsters in the middle of the restaurant, which for me was a bit off putting and upsetting...... Having attended an event at House of Fraser we were looking for somewhere nearby for a quick meal. Came across the Cape Town Fish Market which does not exactly stand out in Argyll Street. The food, surroundings and service were very good. Can't believe we never noticed it before as it has been open for 7 years! Will definitely visit... More

The food is average - the Sushi is the best on the menu, especially the mixed seafood platter. Try and go using a voucher, otherwise the food is very expensive. I understand that it is a fish restaurant, but I would have expected the restaurant to have a few Vegetarian options. My mum ended up eating chips and roasted vegetables... More

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we ate here. Recent Tripadvisor reviews suggested that the food was good but the service poor. Our experience was that both were very good. The manager took good and careful care in advising what my wife, a coeliac, could eat that was gluten free. My baked roast hake with seared scallops was... More

We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and will definitely visit again. As youw alk in you see tanks of live fresh fish and lobster, as well as displays of ready to cook fish. There are some excellent South African wines, and a wide variety of fish and non fish dishes. I had the Special which was sea bass... More

We visited at 8pm on a Friday. The food took forever to come out, over an hour between the starter and main and the starter was about a 45 minite wait. The food was o.k. we got the largest platter to share which wasn't cheap. We expected more as it was so expensive. The best thing we had was the fishcakes... More
