The restaurant on the 10th floor has a fantastic view over Hyde park, go for lunch you will not disappointed, I have to say the Beijing duck and the dim sum are the best in town! Service is warm, friendly, efficient relaxed and casual. Nothing pretentious. The price was reasonable compared to other high end restaurants. Love this place. Simply... More

Had a pleasant trip to the Min Jiang Bar before heading off elsewhere in Kensington. Bar staff were very attentive. Nice variety of cocktails also available. Views of London skyline at night are fantastic

The views across the London skyline from this well-appointed 9th floor restaurant are fantastic and the food almost as good. The speciality Peking duck was the best we have tasted and was carved at the table for us. The remains of the duck are served as a further course. We've never tasted Chinese food with such depth of flavour -... More

After having read and heard such positive reviews of Min Jiang, my husband and I were looking forward to our visit to the top of the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington. We were escorted to a lovely window table in the middle of a large rectangular dining room and in spite of the glare, the London skyline spread beneath our... More

Sad service... It was obviously a new waiter working our table that night, and as a former waitress I could tell he had no clue what he was doing. There was a huge difference when one of the more experienced waiters came to our table. The food was good and I loved the dim sum, even though we hoped to... More

We booked to stay at the Royal Garden Hotel specifically for this restaurant. The hotel was amazing but sadly the restaurant disappointed. I say sadly because we really were looking forward to our visit as it had such great reviews. Anyway, we had pre-ordered half a Peking duck as recommended. When it came to order we asked the highly attentive... More

Always tricky booking our annual Xmas Eve lunch out to celebrate my wife's birthday - which is in fact on Xmas Day ! Invariably we end up at a hotel which is often much more flexible on timings but not always a guarantee on the best restaurant possibility. Ha - step up Min Jiang !. What a find. Calm setting... Highly recommended, absolutely wonderful selection of food and an idyllic view from the window, the duck is beautiful, an excellent choice of wines and the only problem was selecting which food to have, The sauteed rib of beef is stunning as are the gong bao tiger prawns. Enjoy.

This was my first "proper" duck experience in the UK after spending time in China last year and it didn't disappoint! Crispy duck skin dipped in sugar, perfect pancakes with just the right consistency and juicy tender meat made for a memorable and surprisingly good value meal. £97 got us a whole duck (three courses if you include the skin)... OK, so not the cheapest Chinese restaurant in London but for impact it cannot be beaten. Set on the 9th floor of the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, its panoramic windows look out over Kensington Garden (and ultimately Hyde Park), all the way to the City. The food is almost perfect, of course you have to have the duck -... More
