Totally brilliant minus the service

We went to Isolabella as a Valentine's day dinner. It was amazing! We had caprese - mozzarela and tomatoes starter and funghi gorgonzola - portobello mushrooms and gorgonzola , followed by ossoboco and t-bone steak. This is a good Italian restaurant with quality home made dishes. We were lucky to get in on a Saturday evening without booking as there was a cancellation and we were very pleased, the service was excellent and the tables not too close together for a change. We enjoyed the reasonably priced house wine and three courses, at no point... More

As we arrived late (10pm) at our Hotel (Premier Inn Holborn opposite) we need somewhere to eat. I called the restaurant from my room to book a table for two. They seemed a little shocked but we're extremely helpful, and told me they would have a table in 15 mins. We went straight over so we could have a drink... More

Many years ago when I worked in London I walked past this place nearly every day but actually ate there for the first time last night. it was excellent. First class service and food and not too expensive. Highly recommend. It was busy for a Tuesday so booking is probably necessary. The atmosphere was perfect.

Food and service was good. Nice down to earth food and large portion sizes. A little on the pricey side for the quality.

A great welcome, good service, perfectly-chilled bubbly, good choice of wines, food very good (however, I think the chef must have shares in a Capsicum plantation - once again he managed to numb the inside of my mouth with the amount of chili in the linguine - but the other dishes we had were perfectly executed), hospitable and efficient staff.... We have been here several times now and when we asked my 24 year old daughter where she would like to go for her graduation meal, she did not hesitate to ask to go here. We prebooked only about an hour ahead and pitched up with daugher plus elderly mother and aunt, who are very fussy. I can honestly say... More

An ideal place for a business lunch. The service was friendly and efficient. They do not pressure you to have three courses. We had risotto and pasta for the main course with coffee to finish. The food was of good quality and reasonably priced.

Or if you must, just pop in to test them! There is nothing good about this place. The decor is bland, the atmosphere almost none existent, even when full of groups (I can only imagine everyone was so hushed as they were talking about the food). The service is abrupt, bordering on being rude - and that's when you can... More

Amazed at the good reviews. Came here off the back of them. Disgracefully overpriced for such poor performance. Had to raise our hand to get our order taken. At no point throughout meal were we asked how everything was. Assuming they knew the answer. Starters: Bread bordering stale. Mussels, cold, under developed with cracked shells. (and coughed up as a... More
