Yet to let me down

Have to say I'm surprised by the mixed reviews on here. I've never eaten something I've not enjoyed and the service had always been fine. I've only ever been for breakfast so that's all I can recommend. It's the best breakfast in the area in my opinion.

Great atmosphere, but good luck getting served. Even when we did we waited half an hour... For a pot of tea, which never came. In the end we ended up walking out. This is the second and last time we've visited, last time we waited a good half an hour to pay. Work on looking after the customers you have... More

This unpretentious cafe was very busy but we didn't have to wait too long to be served. One of our party had a dish with poached eggs but was disappointed to find lots of water on the plate as they had not been drained before serving. I had a toasted bacon and egg sandwich which was fine but I felt... More

I've been here three times, twice I've had an enjoyable experience, and once it's been abysmal. When coming on the weekends it's very busy, sometime you'll need to share a table with another party, or will have to wait. Today, although we were seated outside immediately, our food (two veggie breakfasts) took 50 minutes to arrive, despite reminding our waiter... More

We wanted a quick breakfast before returning home after a Mark Knopfler concert but my partner can't walk far. The Tripadvisor site showed 'Front Room' on the corner of Florence Road - wrong! Nothing there! So we drove down Torrington Road to the traffic lights intending to turn right but Stroud Green Road didn't look like you could park so... More

Popped in here for lunch with my girlfriend. It was a Friday and not that busy. The cafe was really cold even though the doors were shut so I couldn't figure out what was causing that. You can eat outside but it wasn't a day for that. The atmosphere is quite funky with period furniture and adornments littered across the... More

The food is good and reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly. There is a relaxed atmosphere. You never feel rushed. We keep coming back.

The Front Room Cafe is extremely popular with locals and this may be part of the problem. After c 7 years of daytime opening, it now boasts an alcohol licence and is open for dinner too. I've stopped for (average) coffee at one of their outside tables on many occasions - it's a great place to watch the world go... More

The Front Room, an achingly trendy brunch joint in the hipster hinterland of Finsbury Park/Hornsey Road, is only partly redeemed by its charming and efficient service staff. The place is bursting of a Sunday morning, brunch being a classic hipster meal, but arriving just a bit ahead of the second wave of hung-over clientele, we lucked out with a pavement... More

Nice quality cafe (definitely a step up from a greasy spoon but not too fussy) with cool interior and seats outside on the pavement. Been here many time and consistently good food for reasonable price.
