Make sure you're hungry before ordering Lazy Sumdays!

This Ping Pong branch on the South Bank is in a nice, convenient location and is quite a large restaurant. It was a sunny day, and after being baked in the glass-roofed conservatory part of the restaurant, we decided to move outdoors. We really enjoyed our visit to Ping Pong. As is the modern way, we shared a large table with other guests, but that just added to the atmosphere. The dim sum are really good. The tea choices were a great idea & added to the whole experience. They even provide a good number of gluten free choices. Chinese food &... More

The dim sum is a good standard. When you enter and it's busy you get a tag and sent to the bar, when it beeps your table is ready. Everything here is about sharing space from the bar to the communal tables. And it is LOUD in this place! We always go for the set menu as it is cheap... More

First experience of Dim Sum, ordering is complicated and clumsy - a table of 8 and we had one order sheet and we had to mark our orders using a tally chart type system. As you order 5ish dishes each you can understand why we used our mobile phones to record what each person ticked! The meal came out as... More

I've been here a few times and must say that the food is very good. The service, however, is inconsistent. My most recent trip highlights this. We walked in and were told 15 minutes for a table. We decided to wait. The bar was packed with other waiting groups, so we decided not to wait there. 45 minutes later, we... More

Nice enough, but summary above says it all. Expected more than wagamama, but that's all it is albeit with more privacy. Food was generally tasty but not wow.

We went with our daughter and just turned up at 8.30 but they showed us up to the bar upstairs and we got a drink and only had to wait 20 minutes for a table that we shared with other couples...It's quite clever that you get the menu and you tick what you want and then it just comes...the waitress... Very busy on sunday evening... we waited just 5 minuts for a table. Nice set menù, good choise of gluten free and vegetarian menù... I took the ping-pong selection... was almost all good. Something could be better but definitely good dinner!

This is a fun place to eat and all the food tasted great. Gluten free choice is good. Would definitely eat here again for lunch not so sure I would choose it for a dinner

Always try and eat here when we are up in London. Some of the dishes really are to die for and the prices are reasonable. Portion sizes perhaps a little small but it's an excuse to order more! Thoroughly recommended.

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
