Pretty good pizza

Pizza Express provides an interesting variety of different italian based dishes: starters, pizzas, calzones and others. The garlic bread we had to start off was good, as was the 'calabresa' pizza I ordere - I loved the soft, thin bread.

This particular Pizza Express is so convenient for the Harold Pinter Theatre. It was very busy so we were glad we booked. I had the tomato and mozzarella pizza with the hole in the middle and my husband had the American hot also with the hole in the middle with a delicious dressed salad. I had the honeycomb pie to... It is always a gamble going to a chain resturant in Central London but I always used to think of Pizza Express as a cut above the others. We went for a lunchtime treat before the theatre and were left feeling rather depressed. We were given about 30 seconds to look at the menu before being asked to order. We... More

Its not called Pizza Express for nothing !! Our main course arrived whilst we were half way through our starter ! We reserved a table online easily enough for a pre-theatre meal before going to see Phantom. Staff were pleasant enough and the food was ok (I must say I had the risotto for main course and it was super)... More

This Pizza Express is the one I visit when I'm either at the Odeon Panton Street or when I came to see "Sunny Afternoon" at the Harold Pinter Theatre. A large two floor venue though I always sit by the upstairs window to watch the street life of Piccadilly whilst I eat. This is the ideal venue for Piccadilly as... More

We visited this branch of of Pizza Express this afternoon for lunch. There was 4 of us in total, two adults and two children. I have visited a few branches of Pizza Express and I have to say that this branch is one of the best by far. The staff were polite and efficient, they were great with the children... More

We went in here for a pre-theatre meal. On the board outside they were advertising 2 course for £10. When you got seated you were given a menu, but they didn't offer the £10 deal unless you asked for it?? Not very good customer service. Food was good, but when we got our bill. They charged us full price so... More

I went into pizza express at around half past 4 and was greeted by a surly looking man who didn't seem happy at all that I had come in to the very quiet restaurant, and asked whether I needed to book a table for 2 in about an hour.. He said "no just come back it'll be fine" I left... More

was going to china town but decided to try something else, so wandering into this pizza place. Decor is totally fast good type and worse than the restaurants at China town but it is not cheap for a pizza here. Ordered a Four Seasons pizza with four quardroons, each of which gets its.own toppings. Pizza is cold and soggy, no... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
