Friendly atmosphere and great pasta

I saw the place while I took a little bit smaller road on my way to hotel and came later to have a dinner. I was looking for something else than a tourist trap and this definitely is something else. I frequented La Porchetta when I studied abroad in London, and to be honest, it was the dinner I most looked forward to upon returning to London a year later on vacation. The atmosphere is intimate and somehow quaint and modern-relaxed simultaneously, and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. The food is the real star. I'll admit to not... More

We just came here for some pizza as that's what we were craving and it was very good. The crust was thin and crispy and it had good flavor. We also had cones of gelato since it was too tempting to pass up. Very casual place and the service was good. I saw other people ordering different dishes and those... More

I met for a snack with friends in this little restaurant hidden away in a side Road of London. The starter was very good, but what I would like to point out is the warm and welcoming nature of the service. Great service!

I have been going to this restaurant, as well as its sister ones, for many years, whenever I feel like eating authentic Italian food without breaking the bank. Some visits have been better than others, but it never disappoints in the main. Definitely recommend, delicious pizzas and pastas.

Me and my cousin booked for a table for 6pm here on a Friday night and little did I know that the place is pretty empty on a friday night - no idea why. Perhaps the location put people off as its down a darkly lit road off the main street? My cousin was 30 minutes late and the waiters... More

We were informed as we arrived that there was no pizza in this pizzeria! The restaurant is in a backstreet and even on a Friday evening, was not busy. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and it has a retro Italian atmosphere and decor. There was a good choice on the menu, the portions were substantial and the food... More

Great restaurant, excellent food and service. Drinks reasonably priced. Large serves. We had rigatoni with a tomato sauce and a cream sauce. Both delicious. Would go back.

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
