Carve your own roast!

Recommend booking as this restaurant (and the pub downstairs) gets very busy - probably because the food is excellent. The restaurant is upstairs is nicely decorated, and less hectic than the pub. The entire menu was good - we were a party of 8 and ordered a variety of dishes and desserts... read more

The woman who served me was the rudest person I've ever been served by. I asked her to hold my card to reach the ten pound minimum, itself a loathsome but acceptable evil, instead she added 50p to the bill and put it straight through. As you sometimes have to put your card through anyway to do this I thought... More

Busy, lively pub. Nice atmosphere and everyone enjoying lunch, drinks and bundled up with flowers and/or plants galore. A favourite end to a nice browse on a lazy Sunday afternoon

We came down from sunny Manchester for the weekend and found this pub. Great location, beer and more importantly the food was amazing. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and had to have a roast dinner. The waitress recommended the roast chicken, and boy when It arrived it was a feast, you get a whole chicken to carve yourself at... More

Great place to grab a pint in the week, or a bloody mary in the weekend! The staff and charming, the atmosphere is ambient and relaxed, and the food is really delicious! A must do for a little rainy day cozy pint with friends, or in the sunny courtyard with the fam. When you go... get a pint of bitter,... More

No complaints about the lovely food or prices. My only issues were to do with the table turnover time of 90 minutes which was crazy given we went with a large group for a birthday. You would think allowances would be made. Also the food took an age to arrive at our table but I was happy when it eventually... More

We had a reservation for lunch at 2pm. As soon as we got there we were taken to our table on the second floor, a lovely seat by the window overlooking the nice Columbia Road Flower Market. All the staff were very nice, and the meal was brought very soon to our table. Everything was perfect, from the delicious roast... More
