The Real Deal!

Stopped by this lovely restaurant that serves Greek food. The Greek salad had large chunks of feta, tomatoes, yellow and read peppers and olives. This is the closest to the real Greek salad that I’ve had outside of Greece, and all the cooks are from there. The homemade hummus was slightly chunky... read more

Have always enjoyed the Real Greek being a lover of Greek food. But this time I was disappointed. The hummus and lentil salad (2 separate dishes) were just ok and visually dull. The souvlaki rolls were tasty! Lovely tart yogurt dressing with the rolls. Very good. The cous cous salad was boring and tasteless. So room for improvement!! Please pill... More

After much deliberation I booked the Real Greek in Marylebone for a big birthday celebration. There were 19 of us and the numbers slightly altered right up until the day of the booking! Kostas and his staff however took it all in their stride and could not have been nicer or more welcoming. The meal was wonderful for a big... More

Excellent food, real genuine greek dishes with a wide choice! Good service and prices quite ok for London for the quality they propose. A must go!

my husband and l dined in the real greek restaurant on a week-end visit from South Wales. Having been to Greece on holiday for many years and lovers of Greek food , we thoroughly enjoyed the food in this restaurant, the service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and very attentive and for the food we had we thought... We visited for lunch. There was a funny smell when we first entered, which was not really welcoming. Service is ok, not particularly friendly or attentive. Food is ok, fresh but not really tasty. Atmosphere is ok, with a Greek music a bit too loud for my taste. So the whole experience was not bad, but all in all this... More

Me and 3 friends ordered the big sharing menu, and it was nothing but amazing. Can't wait to eat here again.

The restaurant is a bit drab with a few ripped seats and needs some TLC. The food was okay including flatbreads, humus and dips, (cold) dolmades. The special of chicken and chickpea stew was dry and tasteless. All items are separately priced, so the bill can mount up. So okay, but there are better choices for the money.

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
