The original Taro in Brewer street has now been my favourite for the last 10+ years. Whenever I have friends visiting London, I end up taking them to Taro and they all love it. Dumplings, noodle soup, rice box and sushi... YUM :D Friendly service, sometime a bit to fast but oh so nice. And Mr Taro himself is such... More

My friend and I had dinner at Taro last night. Great atmosphere and speedy service. Obviously doing well as there was a steady influx of people for a Tuesday night. I can't say that either of us are mega Japanese food experts but we greatly enjoyed our Gyoza, Katsu Curry, Tuna Rolls and Fried Shrimp. The restaurant serves a great... More

My friend and I went there for dinner during a weekday after a long day, we were hungry but we were out of inspiration as well so we went to the trusted Taro. We tend to share our food, so altogether we had a ramen, fried tofu, tariyaki beef, yakitori, gyozas and a couple of beers. The food is always... More

great service particularly from Taro (yes it is him on the front of the menu!) who set up this small chain many moons ago. they always seem to find space for you even if it the small space seems to be full. great for a quick lunch during work or for a catch up evening meal over a few beers.... When I lived in London I started a hunt for the best sushi restaurant in town (for both quality and price) and one day I found this incredible place. I would stop by the restaurant everytime I could, for lunch and dinner. I would bring all my friends to demonstrate them how sushi is done right. Now I don't live... More

I guess Taro doesn't claim to be what it isn't. It's not a Japanese restaurant, it's a 'sushi noodle bar' and as such it does the job. Fairly extensive menu, fresh food prepared in full view as you'd expect and a limited wine list. Sushi portions rather small but not a big deal. Perhaps more disappointing at the end of... More

The amount of food was really good. The sushi was excellent and the price was really good according to the quality. For sure I will go next time.

Taro I am amazed what passes for authentic Japanese food in London. I usually go to Mitsukoshi restaurant, but was dismayed to find that they no longer open on Sundays. That lead me to try Taro, with its high ratings on Tripadvisor and stickers declaring authentic Japanese food on its windows. So I thought I'd give it a try. After... More

I have been leaving in London for a while and this is one of the best places I have been so far. The food was truly excelent, and the employees were amazing! Our waitress was very nice and the manager approached at the end of our meal to check on us. The price is ecelent for London. We were three... More
