I used to go often with my gf there, to be honest,i really love that place, but last experience absolutly disappointment. The food was nice as usual. The staff just bad. I'ven with 8 friends, all of them get their food at the right time but not me. I didnt been informed of delay or any apologise or reasson. After... More

I went in this place more times, I love it, is really quiet even if you are in the middle of Soho, and the atmosphere is really good. I took Chicken Teriyaki Bento with this one you can taste some different kind of Japanese food, and my girlfriend took Chicken Katsu Curry. and the price is quite cheap for me... More

My first visit to Taro was in 2004 and I have probably been back there about once a year... It has always been good and I have enjoyed the food. The menu is varied, the portion are large and rather cheap (except the sushi, they are normal size and at normal sushi price but still good). I really like the... More

I've been here a few times now and it is a little hit and miss. Sometimes the service is very good, other times its pretty terrible. We've had some very tasty dishes in decent portions, and others under seasoned and just enough for a child. I'd recommend it if you're not hoping for too much, you may well be pleasantly... More

When going shopping to Soho at weekends, when having a meeting, even the starting point of a planned night out with a few friends, Taro is always a good option and its menu offers a variety that will always satisfy your palate. Taro is not the cosiest place, nor fancy - it's just the restaurant you will always want to... More

I have been visiting This Taro for some years, there is of course a Taro 2 on Old Compton street. I always find the service to be very friendly, pleasent and quick. I would recommend for a delicious and tasty meal.

Good value for your money, I visited with family and my wife went for a bento box that was excellent (she said) personally my Ramen and the kids noodles were tasty and very abundant (so don't go for large if you'll not share). Kitchen is open and hygiene is average . The service is just polite, but the old man... More

On entrance you get barked at by some senior male that won't even allow you to sit at the table you booked. Once seated, its cheap, you can't really argue with that. I had a teriyaki chicken with rice. I also stupidly went large. Unless you haven't eaten for a week, you don't need to go large, as shown by... More

I had heard good things about Taro but I'm sorry to say I was disappointed by my first visit. I had a simple meal of maki, yakitori and yakisoba. The yakitori was made from very fatty chicken, too sweet and missing the small pieces of seared leek that really makes a difference with yakitori. The yakisoba, though the portion was... More

Unpretentious, prompt, fresh and yummy! Simple venue, relaxed atmosphere, and good food. What else to ask for?
