What a great restaurant - the food is just brilliant. Cannot criticise one little bit - and will return lots now I'm a local!!!!!
We've just moved into the area and I'd been past this restaurant a few times and got quite excited. My other half is Catalan and there are a fair few Tapas / Spanish bits on the menu. First we were led to a tiny table where I couldn't get my knees underneath it. In fairness we were quickly moved without... More
This is a local gem and has never disappointed. We tend to book for birthdays, especially when they fall on Tuesday night which is 'steak night'! The menu has something for everyone, from seafood, meat and some decent veggie options. We've recommended it on numerous occasions and also had a Sunday morning brunch where the bloody mary hit the spot... More
We tried this restaurant as it looks like an independent local. We chose goats cheese soufflé & ham terrine for starters – at an average of £7 they were on the expensive side. The terrine was tasty but the soufflé was TINY and not that flavourful. For mains we had steamed mussels in white wine sauce which were quite nice,... More
My daughter lives in Tooting, an area where Chicken, Curry, Kebab and take away Pizza rule. How amazing to find this little gem in amongst all of that. the dining area leads into the kitchen - it's not large - and the staff are always excellent. I've been with my daughter a number of times and last night my wife... More
Well cooked food, great atmosphere, friendly waiter/host. Best is Monday night i think first onday of the month where the wine supplier comes and does wine paired meal at very reasonable rates. Good local place and doesn't break the bank.
We needed a place for a quick Saturday lunch before we returned home. Nearly walked passed Ricks but we were very glad we dropped in. Interesting menu with plenty of seafood. Interesting decor and good food served with a smile. And very good value
Good family restaurant with shared tables. Pleasant environment, seafood, wine and great desserts for reasonable price.
Went for lunch with my wife, I had the steak and she had beef and oyster mushroom pie. Steak was big, tasty and well cooked and the pepper sauce was tangy. However, it was just plonked on the plate with some chips, no hint of a salad, although the chips were well cooked. My wife's pie came in a dirty... More
I'm absolutely torn when it comes to Rick's cafe. On one hand it's an absolutely fab little find - ever changing menu, quirky decor, interesting wine list/suggestions and a enigmatic owner/waiter/chef/host extraordinaire! Serving contemporary British/French cuisine it really is a one of its kind in Tooting amongst the huge selection of Indian subcontinent fare. That said after about 4 visits... More
