Escape from the West End crowds to the quiet Mayfair courtyard of Hush, a haven from the hectic pace of central London. The ground floor brasserie, which spreads onto the leafy terrace, features modern European cuisine, with favourites such as smoked haddock and cod fishcakes and the famous Hush hamburger. Upstairs, The Silver Room restaurant offers the same popular menu in more intimate, formal surroundings - perfect for a business lunch or romantic dinner. The slick bar serves up award winning cocktails and tasty bar food.

Nice escape from the madness of Regent St. Very good food

I was in Hush for a Saturday lunch with 3 friends. We sat outside in very pleasant surroundings and ate a very tasty meal. I recommend the duck confit shepherds pie a very interesting take on an old friend. Dessert was a little disappointing but the mains made up for it.

We visited Hush for gin afternoon tea as part of a hen party and had a fantastic time! Although a little bit hidden away, this place is very close to Bond St etc, and is extremely good value, particularly given its location. The cocktails included were all very nice and easy to drink, and the afternoon tea was delicious and... More

Tucked away down Lancashire court is Hush Mayfair, which is fast becoming one of my favourite hidden away London cocktail bars. I like to meet my friends here every now and then and I would recommend the steak tartare and truffle oil Aspen chips; both delicious and reasonably affordable. I find that even though Hush is popular, you can almost... More

I have been to Hush several times for drinks. The bar is cosy, with ample seating and the service is excellent. The staff are very accommodating of large groups and will try their best to sort out tables and seating so that you are comfortable. Additionally, I think that the cocktails are fairly priced considering the location of the bar.

A beautiful restaurant from the outside and the inside with a warm, friendly and posh atmosphere. The staff was wonderful, a (French?) lady with brown hair and a tall guy with short hair and glasses were very attentive and friendly. Even though we were a group of five and everyone arrived late and we only started eating an hour after... More

Fabulous high tea with a paddington bear gin cocktail. Delicious and beautifully presented. Wonderful inside and a lovely courtyard outside for dining and people watching in the summer highly recommend.

Went to a big party there and all of us were delighted with the wonderful food and friendly service. I like the intimate location on a tiny lane off Bond Street in Mayfair. Attractive crowd. Happening scene.

Tucked away and pretty hard to find. Having had the hallmarks to be great, and maybe it has a better atmosphere in the evening, it was a bit of a let down in the day. Took out a loan for a couple of drinks. Service was average, the staff appeared more interested in sorting their shifts than serving customers-acceptable maybe... More

Family day out with afternoon tea for 5 of us at Hush Mayfair. I have been there before so I know the venue is lovely, really nice and relaxing and the staff do try hard. However, I had booked the £19.99 afternoon tea for us to be told that when we arrived it was £35, (as THEY had changed their... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
