Lotus Chinese Canary Wharf

A novel location puts the Lotus Chinese floating on a barge in Canary Wharf, just a 2 minute walk from Crossharbour DLR station. The food is good with an extensive menu, and what probably speaks volumes about the quality is the amount of Chinese nationals who frequent the establishment. Interior... read more

I had dim sum here with a couple of friends. The dim sum menu is extensive - we ordered a large variety of dishes and we genuinely enjoyed just about everything we ordered. Location was good, near the station and on a floating boat (although you can't tell it's floating while you are on it!). Service was okay although it... More

I live only few minutes walk from this restaurant and I'm having my Saturday lunch every week. Dim sum are very nice, I'm quite conservative and have always the same stuff but it's lovely. I'm coming here alone to read my book and restaurant is bit too busy, but I guess that's because food is nice.

I recently visited the Lotus Chinese Restaurant for some Dim Sum with a few friends, as always the foods are delicious and taste fresh compared to a lot of other restaurants. We ordered spring rolls, char sui buns, chicken claws, scallop dumplings, glutinous rice in lotus leaves and egg custard tarts. The restaurant is always busy (which is a sign... More

I had a very enjoyable meal at the Lotus and it was one of the best chinese's I've had in a long time. I think the best thing to do here is opt for one of the set menu's. We went for Set Menu B at £29.50 pp. which can seem expensive but I feel that for the amount of... More

Six of us met for a Saturday lunch. The set meals are the way to go here. It's basically a pricing structure that allows you to eat anything of your choice. My seafood loving family enjoyed a beautiful sea bass. For the carnivores, the addition of Aromatic Lamb served at the same time as the duck was a welcome addition.... More

If you're looking for a picturesque location, this is it, but if you're also looking for good dim sum, this is not the place for you. I have eaten dim sum in many places all over the world, so my standards are high. Honestly, this place isn't terrible - I've certainly had worse, but I thought the prices were quite... More

The Lotus has been here for several years and it is starting to look rather dated. We were there for Saturday lunch and it was very busy, with about 75% of the customers being Chinese, which is usually a good sign. The food was decent quality and the portion sizes were large. The prices seemed slightly high; I've had similar... More
