Best breakfast

Had the best waffle ever here. The coffee was grand too. If I ever come back to London I would eat here again.

We had just been to view the new Mel & Sue show being recorded in the studios on the top floor of Whiteleys. We were hungry after the event and had passed Café Rouge earlier, one floor down. It was easy access for us, with me in a wheelchair as Whiteleys has a lift for pram and wheelchair users and... More

food was mediocre and over-priced. starter: 2 small pieces of bland smoked salmon with a bland yoghurt-like dressing and some water cress garnish (no lemon on the plate), main: a tasteless sirloin steak (customer was not asked how they liked their meat cooked!) and fries (these were brought in) and a small glass of Prosecco. the huge sum of £28.50.... The day after we arrived from Vancouver, Canada we searched online for a good breakfast restaurant in our area and found Café Rouge was close by. We arrived 1/2 hour before they opened but were welcomed in to have coffee while waiting for the chef to arrive. The best cup of coffee we've had in Britain so far. I do... More

We had a breakfast here and chose egg benedict which was excellent. Perfectly cooked aggs and good service. Whiteleys was empty and we were the only customers 10am. A shame.

Was meeting a set of friends after forty years -- they had driven to London from Loughborough and parked in the shopping centre parking lot. Rather than look for a restaurant on the high street we settled for Cafe Rouge to have a quick lunch. It did not disappoint -- two of us selected options from the menu rapide (girasole... More

Since moving to the area two months ago, I have visited this particular Cafe Rouge on four occasions. I have always loved the Cafe Rouge atmosphere and food until I went to this one. On the two occasions where I managed to get food, it was distinctly average. The other two occasions where when I tried to get breakfast at... More

Tired hopeless preprepared English breakfast. Cardboard reheated sausages. Everything was poor apart from the poached eggs

Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
