Good friendly Italian service and style. Worth a visit if you can afford it One minor niggle, at closing time they left the front door open and the nice warm restaurant turned into a fridge, we got the message and left shortly afterwards.

Although the menu is not as racy as Formula 1, everything about this restaurant works flawlessly. With all four of us ordering different meals we had a good chance to sample this establishment’s offerings and by the end all of our plates were empty. The helpings appear modest, but a lot of thought had gone into composing each of our... More

Had a Sunday morning brunch here with poached eggs with mushrooms and pancetta on bruschetta. Just perfect! Two coffees ( the smooth blend) everything tasted great! Only thing....the flower boxes on the first floor are watered Sunday early and the residual drops continue down on the outside tables for HOURS! Fantastic selection and quality of olives available to buy!

So good to have a Carluccio's in Islington and very handy for Almeida theatre. Excellent service, knowledgeable and efficient staff; food everso good with authentic Italian flavours and home made pasta etc etc. Always want to buy things in the shop afterwards! Good loos (important!). Only mini drawback - slightly cramped - feel very close to those at next table... More

Italian goodies. From patisserie to salty dishes and mixed such as pasta made with chocolate. Worth a try!

I'm a coeliac and therefore have to be gluten-free. I regularly use Carluccio's as I travel up and down the country and since their gluten-fee menu came in a few years ago,it has made travelling to support my football team; Ipswich Town, a lot easier. The cafe in Islington is my local one and I regularly pop-in when I go... More

We needed a restaurant in Islington for family and visiting friends (also with family). As regulars of Carluccio's in Pinner we had high expectations and this restaurant delivered. Easy to find and reach, we received a welcoming atmosphere, good food and attentive, though unobtrusive, service. Our party consisted of 5 adults, including 1 teenager, and 3 children. All tastes were... More

Called in for a bowl of pasta before the theatre. Met by a smiling member of staff and samples of the red and white wine of the day. A nice touch. The waitress was delightful, we enjoyed our pasta, the coffee was excellent, as was both the service and the atmosphere. We will go again.
