Four of us had Sunday lunch here and it was very good.Great service from friendly staff, nice fixed price two course lunch at £10.95 hit the spot.Nice decor inside, too.
Heard great things about Carluccios so thought we'd pop in! Decor was great. Had delicious Italian platter for starter and the calamari was to die for! Mains just as great. Only downfall was slightly slow service however food was worth the wait! Would recommend highly!
Fabulous food and great friendly service. Good atmosphere as there is a tasting area/shop at the front as you enter. Prices are reasonable.
It is always slow getting served for takeaway food here, but today I waited nearly 15 minutes for a takeaway soup and when it finally turned up it was lukewarm and the cup wasn't full. Plus the soup had a funny, sour taste to it. Not one of their finer moments.
Italian is one of my favourite kitchen, and if you want to feel that you are eating in the kitchen while people serving you dont hesitate to stop for a nice dinner befor the Theatre in Angel
Before coming to this place I was told from a friend " this place is like Strada, but more expensive". Well, to be honest he was not that wrong. The restaurant has a nice feel to it even as you enter. The menu is varied though firmly Italian. All of us thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. The dishes are simple but very tasty and the service was excellent. The prices are reasonable. We are taking other friends there tonight!
We stopped by because we couldn't get into Ottolenghi's just up the road. Hate it when your planned destination is full and you don't have a backup. Luckily Carluccios was the right choice. My girlfriend had the spaghetti with clams and I ordered chicken with parma ham and pesto potatoes. Just a decent lunch, and they managed what few cheaper... More
Cozy, friendly staff (Italian specialists...order accordingly). Can get busy and noisy; stroller-friendly and popular w/young families. Also does 'take-away' nicely. Super soup and pastries!
This was not a happy experence - I know it's a chain, but therefore they should try harder. The lunchtime clientelle cotains a lot of families stuffing chaep pasta into their children. If you don't like the sound of children squwaking, you might want to stay away. On entering we were told brusquely 'You can sit there' - despite there... More
