Excellent Meal Near National Theater

This trendy restaurant is close to the National Theater. The food was very good. I had the roast chicken with wonderful mashed potatoes and my wife had the Potobella Mushroom dish Both were served at a perfect temperature and the price was reasonable You can even hear the trains go by

We went for a random dinner as i said it had live music, but unfornately there was no live music, but we ordered the steak to share and it made us forget why we ended up there and there was no music, the steak was melt in your mouth so good, i would highly recommend it to anyone but i... More

Had nice drinks with a good friend here last week. Always enjoyable way to spend an hour or so on a Saturday afternoon and the cocktail list really is pretty good :)

I was here for a late lunch/early dinner between shows at the National Theatre. For that - it was excellent. The menu is good, but pricey, and the drinks options are extensive. My cocktail arrived well made and was delicious. The salmon risotto was very good and the pecan pie was most pleasant. On the downside, other than the price,... More

Passed by here on the way to our hotel. It looked lively with good menu- got seated quickly, live jazz here most nights. Our table was upstairs and we ordered spring chicken with fries and salad- service was very good, and the food was very well presented and tasted hot and delicious. Good sized portions and good value for money.... More

Right in the heart of the Southbank Centre, reasonably priced & the food was delicious. Service was very attentive and quick & the atmosphere was good with a singer & piano player entertaining from 7.30pm. Ribeye steak, half chicken & desserts highly recommended! Also situated under a railway line which was actually pretty cool when the trains were going overhead.

My partner and I first visited this restaurant about 8 months ago and enjoyed the steak but on our second visit the steak chewy with more gristle than meat. The service was slow and no effort was made. I will not be visiting for a third time.

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
