Terrible service, food ok'ish but not living up to the expectation, even simple things like coffee and orange juice were way below average.
After visiting the Archduke 3 times before and found it to our liking , We returned on Saturday evening just for a bottle of wine after a trip on the London Eye .. Only to find the staff , Rude , Arrogant and very patronising , you are paid to wait on and serve your customers , not to be... More
The food is really good and the setting was excellent. Service just needs tightening up - forgotten requests, several reminders etc. but all staff were smiley and friendly. I recommend it.
Popped in here on our way to Waterloo station for our return train journey home. The staff were pleasant and the service was reasonable considering they were busy. Hubbie and I had the ribeye steak and from our first mouthfuls we said that they were one of the best steaks we have ever been served. The daughter had the chicken... More
We wanted to grab a few drinks before a movie and were just walking by when the interesting look of this place gave us a thought to try it out and it was just the place. Staff was nice and welcoming and were more than happy to assist. The cocktails were nice especially Waterloo Sunset and the broccolis were as... More
We tried this place as we have walked past it many times on route to Waterloo station. It is advertised as a jazz & steak bar but we could not hear the jazz downstairs. We arrived without booking early Friday evening and were soon joined by friends. Three of us had steak which was all good and the veggie had... More
Booked here as wanted somewhere close to the London Eye. The menu had something to suit all of us (me my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 11 year old grandson) and was also reasonably priced. Pleasant, comfortable surroundings, very efficient, helpful and friendly waiter. Grandson had steak, two of us had burgers and two of us had the sea bass. The... More
This restaurant serves really good steaks, I was looking for a place where I could eat and listen to live jazz and I found the Archduke and I love it , shame that it is hard to hear because of the loud environment, but overall good place for a meal.
On Saturday, after the rugby my wife & I took our children to the Archduke. My daughter suggested it as she passes regularly & I think she chose well as the Archduke is in a great location & is a lovely setting. The staff were very good & the atmosphere very nice. The menu is not vast but we all... More
All the staff (from the host to our server) were very friendly and helpful (as we were dining w/our 2 children, ages 7 and 10). We ordered a ribeye and pork belly (pork belly was on the pre-theater fixed price menu). The ribeye was a definite standout. Dessert also very good.
