Good service :)

Visited with no booking and we were sat quickly. Had antipasti sharer for starter. Very ample and tastey. Good size mains and service was swift. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit :)

We were a party of 18. The restaurant have a chic and relaxed atmosphere! The staff are amazing, so accommodating and friendly. The food is beautiful, very authentic Italian. The manager even brought over a tray of little cakes with a candle for our bride to be! Although we were a large party, this restaurant is perfect for families and... More

The food wasn't that bad, but found the prices of the wine on par with London! (Unlike at our hotel, the Beech Mount) They cannot make Irish coffee! What we cot was hot cream and the coffee was very strong, both my husand and I were unable to taste the Irish whiskey!

Booked a table for 2 last night for 08:30, arrived a little early to find the place busy as you would expect for a Friday evening. We were pointed to the direction of the waiting area with no where to sit and remained stood up until 9 o'clock when we were seated at our table. At this point no apology... More

Il forno is a very fancy restaurant with all the service and style you'd expect of a top restaraunt. It's prices are really good you could theoretically come out spending under a tenner for a main meal but you'd have to resist their ice cream which we couldn't! The portions were huge and I struggled to finish my pizza calzone.... More

Went here in a large group and felt the food was lacking. We were given huge portions but the food lacked flavour and was very salty. The sauces were oily. We had booked in advance and the time of R booking was questioned when we arrived even though they had rang to confirm the booking on the day. The hostess... More

Have been to Il Forno three times first for my hen night in October last year, January for my birthday and last week for my husband's son's birthday. Being half Italian and being brought up on Italian food I have to say the food is excellent and the people there are warm, friendly and make you feel very welcome. Will... More

Visited here with a large group of friends and had a really good Italian meal. Given how busy the restaurant was the service wasn't slow and the food was well cooked and really tasty, I had the Gnocchi with tomato and herb sauce which was delicious. My friends surprised me with a birthday cake which was packed full of cream... More

My friends and I were stopping in an apartment above the restaurant and called at short notice asking if they had availability for 8 to dine. They made provision quickly and got back to us promptly accommodating us without problem. We had a number of starts which we shared, they all tasted superb, particularly the bruschetta calprese. Between us we... More

There's a lovely authentic feeling inside this Restaraunt. It was really busy and you'd be well advised to book early. The food was lovely and our party of 5 had absolutely no complaints with it whatsoever. Again, it was good quality and seemed to be authentic Italian, very flavorsome and well presented. The only let down that I found was... More
