I have been meaning to visit this restaurant for a long time now as I have friends who have recommended it. I was looking forward to our evening and was not disappointed. We arrived early and received a warm welcome from the staff. We decided to have a drink in the bar area due to our early arrival and the... More

I recently went to the LCW after many recommendations and I am glad that I did. Firstly very accommodating staff who allowed me to be flexible with our seating time while I got involved with a nice bottle of Chilean red wine. Once seated the service remained very slick with out being pushy or forceful, meaning we felt relaxed and... More

We've been before. The restaurant is conveniently close to the Philharmonic Hall. We had booked but the welcome lacked warmth which wasn't a great start to the meal. I also struggle to understand why a good restaurant would serve slightly stale chunks of white bread... why not serve a great wholemeal roll, warm and freshly cooked! The wine was pricey... More

Monday's wine and dine for £25 per head was exceptional value for quality and money. Certainly the house red was the best I've ever had. The restaurant obviously cares about seasonal and local produce which was presented and cooked beautifully. There was no need, personally, to add seasoning, which was supported by the absence of seasoning on the tables. There... More

The plan was to wander round Liverpool on a bank holiday Sunday, grab a couple of drinks and enjoy a late lunch. Rather than book a table, we thought we would take our chances on a 'walk in'. Food time approached and we found ourselves outside LCW. The restaurant was probably about a quarter full. In line with our lazy... More

This is possibly the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Plenty of too but not so much that it over faced us. We were able to finish it as we were given plenty of time and did not feel hurried in anyway. As I am pregnant, there were a few things that I was unable to eat and this... More

We went to the London Carriage Works for dinner on a Sunday evening since we had a two day stay in Liverpool. The restaurant is one of the few in Liverpool listed in the Michelin Guide (just listed -- no specific distinction) and so it seemed like a good idea to check it out. The London Carriage Works is located... More
