Egg

Very good vegetarian food. Cheap and cheerful canteen like atmosphere. Not the best décor! And up alot of stairs. But the food is fresh and very edible! Good choice on the menu of both vegetarian and vegan.

Went here for lunch. Up a couple of flights of stairs and it was like stepping back to my youth. Open plan cafe with a great buzz about it. Customers varied from babies and toddlers to students and us older ones. Amazing vegetarian food. Decided to go for cheese on toast. Wow. 2 doorsteps of cheese on toast, salad, pasta... More

I adore the Egg Cafe which is a few flights up in a old, creaky building - individual, bohemian and refreshing. It's so difficult to get vegetarian restaurants and this place is delightful. I've eaten here a few times over the years whilst visiting friends in Liverpool and really wish Belfast had somewhere like this. Tasty, delicious, home made food... More

The Egg (Vegetarian) Cafe is found in a scruffy side street - just off scruffy Renshaw St. You could so easily miss it but it is a Liverpool landmark place. Look for the purple paint entrance and venture in. Up you go - follow the green and postbox red stairs and the next set of purple doors to the "secret... More

Found this fabulous little vegetarian/vegan cafe today up flights of painted stairs! Wonderful variety of very tasty, fresh food & pleasant staff in a trendy but homely cafe. Has a lovely hippie feel to it. No cards though only cash but it's all very reasonably priced. Top nosh!

I used to go here once a week when I lived in Liverpool. Genuinely loved the food and the variety on offer. Great price, nice atmosphere and feel to the place as well.

Walked past the door and noticed that it was a vegetarian and vegan cafe. Instantly my Mum and myself (vegans who never really get to eat out) jumped at the chance! We had a cup of tea and a piece of cake. YUM. Absolutely delicious. I had the Lime and Coconut cupcake which was incredible, vegan and gluten free as... More

Found this place by accident - I saw the sign & thought I'd give it a try. Great welcome, amazing choice of homemade food & set menu was great value: £10.75 for a starter (fab soup & garlic bread), main course (spicy bean burger with pitta, pasta, couscous, salad etc.), dessert (banana loaf) & a drink (hot chocolate). It's so... More
