Beautiful Place

This place is a must see for anyone visiting Liverpool City centre. Beer is good too, but wow what a fantastic place for decor.

Visited today for a Sunday lunch. As it was around a tenner for a Sunday dinner I expected a lot more. The beef was cold, veg was clearly microwaved and was overall disappointing. I think the gravy should be served separately in a gravy boat, and a few more veg available for the price. Its a shame because the building... More

We were on a short break to Liverpool and friends had advised us that a must was a visit to the Philharmonic Dining Rooms as it is a really interesting place to drink in. We decided that not only would we drink there but also chose off the menu. It really is a very spectacular place and certainly worthy of... More

Helpful staff, will always advise on choice of ales. The food is well priced and of a good quality. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior.

This restaurant has old time charm of a classy turn of the century pub from Liverpool's heydays. The interior has been preserved and the small dining rooms and unconventional ordering at the bar are fun and different. Plus, this was a favorite haunt of John Lennon.

This pub has an amazing interior decor and a maze of rooms, v quirky. We ate in the restaurant upstairs and we were made very welcome by our waitress who was very attentive the whole time we were there. Drinks came v quickly and the food was delicious.Apparently the Gentlemans Toilets on the ground floor are quite something to be... More

Waited ages at the bar to ask about a prebooked table - seemed like the staff were deliberately ignoring me! Eventually directed upstairs to the dining room, clean bright and pleasant. Ordered drinks - did they really need to go to the brewery to get them! Menu very typical pub grub, chose the fish - sadly overcooked and dry Won't... More

The Philharmonic is a Nicholson's establishment, so despite the remarkably detailed and lavish environment, it is, at its heart, a corporate pub, dumbed down to the standard corporate menu and uninspired stuff of all Nicholson's pubs, everywhere. Nothing great, nothing bad, just the standard, corporate, mass market stuff. The usual pedestrian cold stuff on tap, and half-dozen cask ales of... More

We had arranged to have a lunchtime Buffet post our Daughter and her roomates Graduation. Food in itself was fine, but we'd ordered for 23, and had barely enough food for 10!! We asked for more but told we'd have to pay more. We then found out that the charge had changed and it was £9.95 per head. 1x 1/4... More
