Good snacks

We just had coffee and a sandwich but the meals going to others looked delicious. The sandwiches were generously filled and very fresh.

Service was not good. First provided one green tea instead of breakfast tea but this was okay - everyone can make mistakes. The mistake we had was of asking another waiter and he slammed this down and then asked for butter for the scone! He exclaimed Butter! as though this wasn't the norm and then proceeded to slam the dish... More

Loved it because it was so quiet and on the top floor it's tucked away from the usual throng and thrash. It caters for children and has plenty of buggy room. It is table served. The prices are excellent and you feel well-fed at a perfect price. It's also an excellent example of iron architecture and has its original iron... More

I always try to support museum cafes and restaurants, as they are a free resource and make their money in the restaurants and shops. Saying that, this was lovely as a stand alone restaurant. We visited as a follow up to a wedding we attended there. The food for the wedding was excellent and the views amazing so we thought... More

Three of us had a well presented, well prepared lunch at a reasonable price and were surprised at how quiet it was on a busy day at the museum. Recommend the poached eggs and black pudding on a toasted muffin.

We visited the upper restaurant in the Merseysíde Maritime Museum in Liverpool. The tea was perfect, the view nice and the scone, tiny jar of jam, and the clotted cream delicious. The restaurant was peaceful and clean. I have joined tripadvisor just to review it. My husband also enjoyed his soup. Thank you!

Eaten here twice in the last few weeks at lunchtime. Very good service. My dish of poached eggs on a muffin with black pudding was excellent. A dish of Scouse with red cabbage was a treat. There is a good choice. e.g. afternoon tea. fish and chips. sandwiches and soups. The venue gives good views over the Albert dock and... More

Very reasonably priced food, good quality ingredients. Sadly closes at 4.30 so last order for cooked food 3.30.

We enjoyed the Maritime Museum and decided on tea and cakes at about 3pm. The room was very spacious but didn't really look like a restaurant. There were tables near the windows overlooking the docks, which was lovely and a few settees, chairs and coffee tables in the centre. There were just drink menus on the tables, no menus. Although... Despite the grand name this is actually the cafe on the top floor of the Maritime and slavery museums in Liverpool. They have some really good views across the Albert Dock area and the food is decent, but nothing special. It was very quiet when I visited which may partly explain the lack of any sort of atmosphere.
