We eat here on a busy week day summer evening and despite the reviews we had a decent experience. Our service was good, if a tad on the slow side. The food was tasty and well cooked and the salted caranel ice cream was delicious. The location was very handy for our hotel.

very expensive for what it is - really poor quality food - it has become too commercialised no service , no finesse, you feel like you are in a conveyor situation. Get them in get them out situation. Awful and well overpriced. Living on the Jamie name but no real reason why when things are really poor- no wonder Jamie... More

My husband raved about his Bresola starter, I thought my meat "plank" was expensive for what you got (it sounded more exciting in the menu). I've never seen so much fennel on a menu (sadly one of the few things I dislike). Chris loved his rib eye steak which had been cooked perfectly, and enjoyed the funky chips etc. My... More

We had high expectations but were sadly disappointed. The Liverpool Resturant is dark and noisy, staff were really good but the food was not what we expected. The prawn linguine was made with spaghetti and was lacking in prawns, fennel and seasoning. As for the "simple green salad" at £3.25 this was eight whole lettuce leaves with a hint of... More

Very busy hot weekend and managed to get a table. Lovely staff working exceptionally hard to attend to everybody. Unfortunately, food just okay. Olives - ordered before in Manchester, only two bits of 'music bread' and mains only warm. Chips both funky and posh, great!! I think it must have been the fact it was so busy that things didn't... I visited today with my husband. Liverpool was very hot and very busy as the Giant Marionettes were in the city...they were brilliant, by the way! Our table was ready early which was nice as we were desperate to get out of the heat. We were attended to quickly but the main courses and starter (lovely olives) all arrived together,... More

Went for lunch with a couple of girlfriends. The young guy who served us was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Prices are reasonable, food plentiful and something to suit every palate and purse. I have eaten here a few times before aswell as some other Jamie places around the UK, haven't had a bad experience yet.

We went for lunch on a Saturday - the food came quick and the waiter was nice. We got sat at a table between the staircase and the entrance which was not a very nice location to have a conversation. Having swapped the table we got served by a waiter who was able to recommend house specialties etc. The wine... More
