Enjoyed our breakfast

We were out and about early exploring and really wanted a cooked breakfast, the Slug and Lettuce had a noticeboard out advertising breakfast. There were a lot of staff behind the bar getting ready for Valentines Day. We were pointed to the tables and a very pleasant waiteess came and took our... read more

We popped in here for a couple of drinks on a Sunday afternoon. The bar wasn't particularly busy and we found a free table straight away. However service was very poor. We waited 10 minutes to order our first drinks and, after waiting over 10 minutes to order additional drinks and food, we walked out. Our table also had empty... More

Ate here last night with my husband and two friends, I ordered the shepherds pie which sounded lovely on the menu with cheesey mash and some fancy bread, what actually came was a small dish with the most vile shepherds pie I have ever EVER tasted! No cheesy mash, just mash on top with the smallest amount of cheese on... More

The Slug and Lettuce has an identity crisis! Is it a restaurant or a disco, it needs to decide! Eating is no fun with a loud disco making it difficult for the waitress to hear what your are trying to order. Probably better at lunch-time.

Beautiful food and cocktails, highly recommended. The service was a bit slow, but our waiter was very efficient and nothing was a problem for him

I've been here a couple of times. The place is quite modern and always seems to be busy. Their food menu is the type you would expect from a venue like this...but it is tasty fayre, well presented fairly quickly. The prices are very competitive -particularly on a Monday when all food is half price. On this latest visit I... More

We had chicken drums, an "Italian chicken" and a pasta Carbonara. Chicken drums were great, Italian chicken was ok and the Carbonara was not even close to a Carbonara, it was more like overcooked spaghetti in bechamel and looked like it had been oven baked. So have the chicken drums if you go here, not the pasta!

Always great service, great food and great value for money if you go on a monday! I always go with my family. I'd recommend the mushroom stack and the aubergine bake. The desserts are okay but nothing special.
