Went to Slug and Lettuce as expected that it must be good as it was so busy....I was wrong. Its quite expensive from what I saw of other peoples dishes. We only ordered Nachos, they were just under £9. I could have made better myself. They were just cheap tortilla chips with cold toppings and a tiny sprinkling of cheese.... More

Went for a meal and drinks with a friend to cheer him up. The drinks were ok.. But that's cos they were cheap. Food took about 40mins which would have been fine had the server to us there was a wait. Plus they didn't have the salmon I ordered - which I wasn't told until 10 mins after I ordered.... More

We popped into here about half eleven on a Sunday. Obviously this is a peak time for breakfasts but shouldn't take an hour to receive our food. When it did finally arrive it was obvious that it had been rushed as the quality was not what you would expect, was a tiny bit of egg shell in my dish. Disappointing.

4 of us arrived around 5:30 and were seated in a lovely area at the back by the windows, it looked really busy but this had no impact on our food. The decor was really nice and the food was super fast. All 4 of us had 2 for 1 on the cocktails which makes it amazing value for money.... More

Colleagues birthday meal, atmosphere was fantastic, staff very helpful. A good range of draught & bottled beers, good range of wines including Champagne and sparking wines, also the have a good range of cocktails, and no alcoholic drinks. Once we were shown to out tables the staff took the drinks orders and then brought the menu. Extensive list of food... More

We popped in here for a quick lunch last week. We had heard good reviews about the Slug and Lettuce in general (not this one in particular) so thought we would give it a try...wish we hadn't bothered to be honest. We both ordered a sandwich each and upgraded for £1 extra to have chips. For £8 plus each (and... More

Arriving into Liverpool famished at 8.30pm on a Monday night, we ventured to the Slug and Lettuce as it had been recommended to us and my brother had been before. What can I say. The service was just dreadful. The staff seemed more concerned with talking to each other behind the bar rather than serving people. We asked if they... More

I have been several times and have vowed never to go back. Slow service, bad food, small portions and way too expensive for what it is. A pity because it's in a great location!

Called on Sunday 15th Feb - absolutely no atmosphere at all and was like a city centre boozers pub, no seats as part was closed, waited 20 minutes to get served gave in and left without getting served a drink. Staff must of been busy else where but only one behind the bar with 3 people waiting to be served... More
