Description: At The Living Room our focus remains on sourcing the best quality ingredients, preparing them simply and delivering bags of flavour and texture on the plate. This is good, honest, robust and stylish food with its origins firmly in the European tradition with international touches. There is nothing frilly or fancy. A selection of Home Comforts - bangers and mash, fish and chips – are designed for easy eating yet there are also more elaborate dishes like Seared peppered tuna with salsa rosso or Roasted lamb cutlets with minted pesto vegetables. Small plates - such as cured ham with grissini and olives – allow for casual snacking while sandwiches and salads enable one-course, easy and casual dining. All-day opening is designed to facilitate easy access and reinforces a core ethos behind The Living Room; you, the customer, is the one empowered to make decisions and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to do that, enjoy it and be comfortable.

Sunday night and empty. Cocktails are clearly a big hing but in truth just cocktails - dry martini not the hit it can be. No starter. The ribeye steak was thin and grey and tasteless. The complimentary (odd as we were paying for the dish) bear arise OK, and the chips ate good, but the steak ...... Every extra -... More

The Living Room is a quite big place with both a restaurant and a bar. The restaurant is bright with a tall ceiling. Service is fast and friendly and the food was varied and tasted fine, without being sensational. The real attraction is in the adjacent bar that had very good live music - a couple of young lads on... More

A second chance for my once favourite watering hole. Taking a couple of friends out for dinner on a wed night. The place is totaly empty apart from we three. I ask to see the wine list... The guy behind the bar says ... It's over there. I don't think so mate. I took my £200 and went down the... More

We visited The Living Room over the long weekend. We were immediately impressed with the service we received on arrival. At 9pm the place was packed. All the staff are informative and genuinely happy to serve you. The food was delicious and there is an extensive drinks menu. Will return soon.

Ate here on Friday night. Really quick service (only time we were a bit disappointed was right at the end when our waitress seemed to disappear and we waited a long time for someone to get our bill!) apart from that they were great. The food was amazing and the price was decent (under £50 for two mains, two puddings... More

Lovely dining room, great location, attentive and friendly staff. Portion sizes a little small and my scallop starter was average (the scallops were watery - I suspect they had been frozen). But the fish and chips and meat pie were excellent. Fabulous cocktails.

Had a meal here with the boys on Saturday. The service, food and atmosphere was fab! Would recommend to all, probably the best living room I've been to.

We visited the Living Room on the weekend of the Grand National and the service was excellent! There was great live music performance as well as a nice atmosphere. all staff were freindly and the service was quick. We returned the following morning for a champagne breakfast before going racing and the quality of the food was brilliant. I would... More

We had a great evening with a perfect mix of excellent food, excellent service, great music and a lively atmosphere. It was very busy as it was a Saturday night, but we were never hurried, staff were attentive and the food was delicious.
