This is one of the best restaurants in Lincoln serving fabulous pies along with lots of other choices and specials of the day. The pudding menu is great - so much choice and every one fab - a particular favourite of mine is the jam roly poly, the sticky toffee pudding, oh and the cheesecake!! The service is always good... As well as the deservedly wonderful pies, their vegetables are an imaginative variation on the usual broccoli and carrots. But chiefly, they are so well cooked! Splendid pudding menu as well as mains (if you can manage one after a robust main course. We enjoy both lunches and dinners there very much.

I come to Lincoln quite often and have always wanted to eat in the few good restaurants in the area. Unfortunately every time I have bothered to venture in this Pub come Restaurant I have been treated so bad that I have felt like I never want to venture in again. The staff seem abrupt to the point of being... More

Read such great reviews about this place, we just had take out pies, my friend loved her chicken and mushroom pie. I had pork and was disappointed, maybe I made the wrong choice. Would give it another try next time .

I really enjoyed the food here, even though I am not a huge fan of pies! I liked that the pastry was just a lid as opposed to the whole thing but that's personal preference. There is a variety of fillings to choose from and dessert too! Service is always good in place. Only problem is when it is busy,... More

Six of us ate here early evening on a Saturday night. We were sat in the cellar which is accessed by a very narrow and steep staircase. Downstairs has a cosy ambiance, but I think it could feel a bit cramped if all the tables were full. As we were 'early doors' we were able to chose from an early... More

Staying in Lincoln we had done a little T.A research into eateries in the City and this Pie Shop had good reviews so we gave it a go, we were not disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff in this cosy Pie Shop very close to the Cathedral, the menu was good, prices keen and the food delicious, the puddings... More

Browns Pie Shop is a staple stop if your are visiting Lincoln. It was my first visit back there since I left Lincoln 10 years ago. The restaurant hasn't changed. It is still that little quaint venue, totally in tone with the Old Lincoln around the Cathedral. Perfect location on Steep Hill. We took a couple of friends for lunch... More

The place is really individual - Historic with bags and bags of character. Busy dining room. Very good staff and service. Great quality of food (esp meat) Starter of mullet in tomato sauce with garlic was absolutley amazing, main course of steak pie was decent ok. If I went back I would have something else. My partner had Barnsley chop... More
