Lovely Afternoon Tea but nothing special

Came here with a friend for Afternoon tea, other than the sandwiches been dry the desserts including the scones were lovely. The service was great. I would however mention that for The Price £35 for two I expected something a little more different then simple cupcakes and profiteroles as... read more

Expensive- staff is what makes it. Wine overcharged. Food a average and choice minimal. Could be so much better.

Thank you for your review, I am a little disappointed to hear your comment about average food and minimal choice. We have launched our spring menu this week and the immediate feedback has been great. I do hope you visit us again soon and sample the changes we've made. regards More

Went for lunch with a friend and the food was beautiful. I had the trio of redhill pork and my friend had the hake. The foods was outstanding but the wait was too long. I would recommend if you have the time to spend a couple of hours over your meal but not if you're on your lunch break. Will... More

Enjoyed an evening meal to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. Had a table by the window with spectacular views of Lincoln. The service was first class and made us feel like VIPs. Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the food was exceptional and good value for money. We would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Good for pre-dinner drinks but can get busy at the weekends. Easier with business people in the week. Can come over as a little low on ambience but the drinks / cocktails are good if a little expensive. Well placed on the Brayford waterfront

went on saturday with a friend for lunch . great service and great views ! but I think it was over priced for the amount of food you got . also the desert cost £6.50 for a couple of mouthfuls . it was a good atmosphere but dont think i will go again not good value for money !

Thank you for your review. I would like to take this opportunity to clear up a misleading statement. Our lunch is priced as following, 1 course for £12, 2 for £16 and £3 for 19. We see this as great value for money especially as its effectively our evening ala carte menu priced accordingly for lunch. That aside I'm glad... More

We visited on Saturday night expecting a high quality meal. Our first experience upon arrival in the bar was how limited the choice of beers was and how noisy it was. A round of drinks for the 4 of us was over £20 The restaurant was also noisy and the tables small. The menu was very limited with not many... More

Thank you for reviewing our restaurant. I am sorry to hear of your disappoint regarding your experience. In terms of the noise, it was a busy Saturday night, but we do have a refurb in the summer which will help with softening the atmosphere. I do hope you return to us soon. regards More

The Electric Bar is on the top floor of the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Lincoln. You can access the bar via a glass lift which elevates up the front of the building giving great views across Brayford Pool. The bar itself was vibrant, very busy but with plenty of staff on. The menu for cocktails is extensive and the... More

We tried to book for 6.30; they couldn't take us until 7.00. We hung around, then when we got there there were only 2 people in the whole retaurant! There were some shrieking girls in the bar - most unpleasant. We ordered. The tap water was fine, as was the prosecco. The bread rolls were very heavy, warm on the... More

I am disappointed to see the contents of this review. We try very hard to accommodate guests request for a preferred time but we had 2 large tables in at the time of your preferred time.
