Attended an office dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Although a village pub, like many others the only way to survive is to serve good food. This is no exception. Food ordered on the night came in a reasonable time and the quality was very good. I will certainly return

My husband and I had a lovely meal here on Saturday 6th December. We were staying about a mile away and this place was recommended. However, when we arrived, as we hadn't booked, there were no tables available but fortunately a couple left after about ten minutes so we were seated quite quickly. The staff were all friendly and made... More

What a pleasant change - good hot food, well cooked, speedily served with plenty of choice at a reasonable price. As it was sausage week I chose the trio of sausages with mash and gravy. I was not disappointed , the gravy was superb. Pudding was just as good - pancakes with hot apple and ice cream. Really yummy. If... More

We fortunately chose the Generous Briton as a meeting place with American relatives we hadn't seen before as Brant Broughton is the home of our common ancestors and they wished to see the gravestones which are still in the churchyard. Unfortunately they lost their way and arrived well over an hour late for our planned lunch. The landlord couldn't have... More

Having had excellent meals on past visits, we were disappointed on this occasion by just two aspects of the meal. Otherwise, it was excellent with good service and reasonable prices as in the past. We had interesting, well presented and filling starters - goats cheese with marmalade and smoked salmon with asparagus and poached eggs - both very tasty and... More

Quite a traditional feel to this pub but it is well kept. Most of the food looks to be made on the premises rather than bought in. It was mid-week when we visited and so quiet but the service was very good and the food of a high standard. We hope to visit again soon.

We decided to nip out for a quick bite to eat and chose the Generous Briton as it wasn't far from where we lived. Beautiful food, excellent service - the decor of the restaurant is a bit bland, you're there for the food I know but it does help if there's a bit of an atmosphere.

First time visitors, driven by reviews on this site to try somewhere new. Very glad we did. Excellent food, at a good price, and very considerate, friendly and fast service. The only negative was that it was very busy and we had to share a large table, not really a problem and they were very apologetic. We will reserve next... More

We are exceptionally lucky as we live close to the Generous Briton. We visit regularly for meals and have, without exception always had excellent food and hospitality. If you are visiting this part of Lincolnshire definitely worth taking a trip to Brant Broughton. Used a lot by locals which I think speaks volumes.
