All we needed was a cup of coffee each and a large table where we could read our newspapers without being bothered and this is exactly what we had here. We were warmly welcomed, despite the fact we were not eating (although diners were only just arriving), served our coffees, left to our own devices and then cheerfully waved off.... More

Steeped in old charm and character, this popular pub / restaurant has been a welcoming haven for travelers for over 200 years. We dropped in for lunch recently - a small detour just off the A17, and were presented with a menu to suit all tastes and tummies!. The food is cooked fresh to order so you must expect a... More

This was our first visit here and it won't be the last. We both ordered the large steak and mushroom suet pudding and it was outstanding !!! It was packed full of steak which melted in the mouth and had lots of gorgeous rich gravy too. The suet pudding screamed homemade and tasted great too. It was served with a... More

This is a great little pub. The staff are welcoming and even though we didn't have a reservation they managed to arrange a table for our party quickly. The food is seasonal and cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their Sunday lunch (the Yorkshire puddings are amazing!). The delicious puddings are well worth a return too.

After a booking faux pas at another pub we made the trip here, and in the grand scheme, I'm delighted the original destination messed up. Nice & simple menu offering great food at a very reasonable price. Some of the best yorkies and roasts we've had out for a long time too. Also great lemon meringue pie! Staff were very... More

The food here was very nice indeed. The menu isn't vast, but I prefer to have shorter menus with quality food than large menus with lower quality. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There aren't a huge number of tables so best to book to avoid disappointment. This is a great example of a traditional village pub.

I have to say that this is one of my favourite places to eat. It is has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and lovely food. We have eaten here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Yet again a brilliant evening. I had the sea bream which was delicious.

Visited with a party of 22 and staff coped well with the influx of a large group. Orders taken efficiently and food was delivered quickly. Quality of the food was excellent and the service friendly. Some places seem stretched when a group of our size arrive but here they take it in their stride. We visit many places around Lincolnshire... More
