Nice Surprise

We looked through the windows and the pub was empty. Is this a good sign, we thought? The pub we had just passed was full. To our surprise when we went in the pub the signs directed us upstairs. Lots of people dining so we gave the order. One Chilli con carne, one steak baguette, one ham eggs and... read more

Went for a works Christmas meal and it was terrible. Breaded camembert that contained no camembert. The most disgusting roast potatoes I've ever eaten. The desserts were all very poor. The service was exceptionally slow. Definitely not worth anywhere near the £25 paid.

Popped in for early dinner but won't other in future as standard of food was ok at best. We sent one meal back as it was cold but I'm not sure what they did in the kitchen as it was still like warm when it returned to our table. We didn't finish our meals but paid & just decided we... More

Came for Sunday lunch during the Xmas market . Nice sized portion , plenty of meat & lovely veg , but dinner was served on a good plate & the food was only just warm . Shame really as it would of been rated a 5 if hot

Went for a 3 course work Christmas meal and was absolutely hideous. Pate with stale brown bread for starter with lettuce going brown, fatty stringy turkey that was probably bought from Iceland and a microwave Christmas pudding. Really not impressed.

I recently attended a wedding reception at The Green Dragon. We were situated in an upstairs room, which was clean & well presented for our party and we had the carvery. The managers, staff, beer, food & service were all excellent. Later in the day we entertained family who had travelled many miles to attend the evening reception at the... More

Had a great meal here. Loved the fact that I could cook my own steak on a rock plate meant that we could all take our time and re heat whenever. It does get very smoky though! Service good and friendly. Onion rings very nice excellent chips too. It was quiet for a Friday but enough in to give it... More

Though being a while since I last visited, the place was very quiet, being lunch on friday. The service was friendly, informal & quick to bring to the table. Having had a burger with fries, it was tender, flavoursome & crisp fries. Very enjoyable & good quality to for the price paid. Having no courtesy call whilst eating. I think... More
