We visited on a Saturday night. The menu seems to have been the same for some time. As such, whilst very well cooked, it seemed to feel 'boring' and flat. The starter of scallops were perfectly cooked but apple flavoured sorbet/ice shavings on the top was weird. The mains of duck and turbot were excellent but again needed a bit... More

Been recommended this restaurant several times over a few years and finally got round to trying it. It was worth the wait. We ate off the lunch menu that had a choice of three starters, mains and desserts. From the choices available we ordered the fish cakes... They were really light and tasty in a delicious sauce. For the main... More

Really very good food, an excellent menu to cater for most tastes, extensive wine list not excessively priced. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Interior modern unlike the imposing Norman frontage.

A small restaurant so advisable to book your table. We were only in Lincoln for one night but stumbled upon this restaurant - so pleased we did. We were there in the evening. Our meal was delicious and prepared and cooked to a very high standard. There is also a very good wine list. The staff were friendly and very... More

I was working in Lincolnshire recently and decided to visit Lincoln for a wander one evening. I was in the cathedral quarter and there were plenty of restaurants around, but I used my trusty TripAdvisor app to look for the best-rated places nearby and decided to try the Jews House. I was served by Hattie and she was superb -... More

Wonderful food, superb presentation and taste. Excellent service. Unique menu. . . .check it out on line. Everything cooked to perfection. A bit pricy but well worth it. (About ££40-50 a head for three courses plus bottle of wine). A delicious meal and evening to remember! Ensure you book a table though, to avoid disappointment, as gets booked up. The... More

We really felt spoilt and the service was brilliant. A beautiful meal with my beautiful family. My favourite fish, turbot was cooked to perfection the rose champagne was one of the best I have tasted. All the wines were superb and complimented each course. Lovely idea and much appreciated sweetmeats with a birthday message. For a special occasion do try... More

Service at this establishment is second to none. We were served by two very young staff who were obviously very well trained, knew all about the food, ingredients and wine. Food excellent and well presented. The scallops were cooked to perfection as was the monkfish. Atmosphere quirky but added to the experience. Definitely recommend this place and a big thanks... The Jews House is a restaurant set in an old quaint building with narrow stairs and doorways, it has a lovely atmosphere with attentive staff . The initial table service when we sat down was a little slow, we were left an uncomfortable period without drinks or bread. The first course we had was the goats cheese curd salad, it... More
