Located in a wonderful heritage building with fascinating history, The Jews House provides a suitably limited menu with a careful choice of well presented options. A little restraint could be exercised by staff as to resist table hovering, but a nice meal at a reasonable cost. Would certainly return.

Went to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed a 7course taster menu which was fab. Nice selection and enough food without feeling completely stuffed at the end. Your table is yours all night so nice and relaxing.

We were a group of four eating on a Friday night. We had booked in advance, probably essential even in January. We were warmly welcomed and our coats and hats were efficiently taken away. Despite being a bitterly cold night, the restaurant, including the foyer, were warm. We were shown to our table in an upstairs in a room that... More

We have visited this restaurant previously some years ago. It was lovely then so I decided to visit again for a pre birthday lunch with my husband. The lunch menu is very good value £20 for 3 courses. The restaurant, service and food are second to none. The restaurant is elegant and the staff knowledgable about the food. Really really... More

What's not to like here? A very thoughtful menus each dish having layers of interesting and complimenting elements. Who knew that king scallops and a salty duck confit would match so brilliantly in a wonderful Jerusalem artichoke soup? Luckily the chef here did! 3 of us in our party each trying different dishes were all delighted with our food. There... More

Was disappointed when looking at the menu, but very happy with the food it was very tasty. They could do with more space between the tables as we felt we were joining in with the people on the next table..... Not really somewhere for a romantic evening

This is not the first time I have visited the Jews house as I love this restaurant, and again I was not disappointed the food was fantastic and host Sam and the staff so welcoming. The food produced by Gavin and his staff was outstanding. I cannot wait to go back which will be in January 15. I would rate... More

I had been told about this restaurant by a colleague and promised we would try it out, 12 months on and we finally got there, what have we been missing. Went with friends for evening meal while in Lincoln Christmas Shopping. What a lovely old building and so comfy when we walked in from the cold. A nice welcome from... More

We left it late to book but so glad we could get in. The whole experience was fantastic and we will visit again when in town for sure. We also have to say that the waiting staff were extremely good and so much more than that; friendly, helpful and expressed a great deal of pride with regard to the area... More
