Both food and wine were very good however there were a couple of disappointments. I was called a couple of times to confirm the booking prior to our arrival which I have no objection to but on arrival at the restaurant we found the doors still locked. I did find this a little annoying as we were only 10 minutes... More

As other reviews have mentioned the food and wine is very good. Also the wine selection is varied and inexpensive for a restaurant of this quality. Lovely freshly baked breads. Service is friendly knowledgeable and unhurried. I have not eaten in any other restaurants in Lincoln, however if you are visiting Lincoln it is well worth visiting the Jews house,... More

Food and wine were excellent. Time between courses was just right - not rushed but not waiting around for ages. Menu selection gives choice to allow for everything to be freshly cooked. Staff were efficient and professional. They just need to smile a little bit more! (But don't be put off - they are very good)

This is the second time I've visited and had the tasting menu - the first time I thought it was simply divine, and the second time was just as wonderful. Living in Manchester with Ribble Valley and Cheshire gastronomic delights on my doorstep, this restaurant, hands down, is a destination in its own right. The staff are knowledgeable, kind and... Husbands birthday meal. The food was delicious and well presented but the atmosphere felt a little stiff and cold. Some staff came across straight faced,we wished they couldve shown a little of their personality and smiled at times. The manageress was welcoming and professional. We have mixed feelings about our visit hence the 'ok' review

The one joy of my daughter having gone to University in Lincoln is that it gave us the opportunity to discover the Jew's House. This was my daughter's and my second visit, but the rest of the family (husband, grandparents, junior daughter and boyfriend and honorary godmother) had not been before. Because we were a party of eight, we had... More

I had the taster menu with three friends. I can't speak for them, but I felt the experience was certainly worth it - with excellent service throughout the evening. Indeed, the staff were impeccable; they were happy to answer questions about the various courses, and to make a change for one of my friends who had a food intolerance. The... More

Food was nicely prepared and a gourmet delight. Dinner was enjoyable and felt like I was a guest in their living room.

I visited the Jews house last week with my sister having read some reviews on trip advisor. The service from walking through the door to leaving was very professional and polite. Front of house seemed to have exceptional knowledge of the dishes on the menu and also the wine list. We had the taster menu. The food was nice but... More

We visited the Jews house for our Anniversary meal last night and we can honestly say everything was first class. The meal was outstanding and the service was excellent too. The waitress had great knowledge on the wines and she recommended a lovely bottle. Anybody wanting a great meal and service it's definately worth a visit.
