Our local friendly coffee spot

Maceys always has a warm welcome for its visitors. I live nearby so I often pop in for a coffee and buttermilk scone - yummy! On arrival our table wasn't ready, however we were shown to a nice waiting area and given complementary bucks fizz. Very good gluten free arrangements were made, however front of house were having to rush, and we were not shown what the set menu was for the evening, nor were we given a drinks list, and had to chase it... A very pleasant taster menu, 5 course. A varied and very tasty meal. The restaurant is small, with only about 5-6 tables, so service is excellent, no rush between courses, and the food came out freshly prepared. Throughly enjoyed our meal. Oh... And the fresh made lemonade!!

Went here with my daughter for afternoon cream tea...the sandwiches were very fresh and tasty with an assortment of fillings...the cakes were delectable and the tea and creamy scone were lovely.. We also had a nice glass of prosecco.. The staff were all friendly and relaxed... A good afternoon..very recommended

We visited this brassiere for afternoon teawith a groupon voucher. It was really good, the scones and homemade cakes to die for. We understand that afternoon tea is about £10 normally and will certainly be back for that. We used the opportunity to browse the menus and have already booked for Valentines day. this could become our new "local"

Arrived for lunch as we had heard good things about this place. Nice decorations, clean lines and inviting Waitress didn't really know the menu! I Had twice baked Souffle which was nice Then Cod but it was over cooked! Veg ok but a little al dente for me! Did not bother with the dessert

A lovely autumn tasting menu which was, rather generously, made available on a Sunday lunchtime. Five delicious courses left us feeling full; each dish was sensibly sized for a tasting menu and although though the meal had been booked as part of an offer it did not feel like the quality had been reduced. The service was good and the... More

So I returned to Macy's with husband in tow for another gastronomic experience, and that is exactly what we got. Having arrived slightly earlier than our booking, we were offered a seat at the bar or we had the whole choice of the restaurant. The service was good, again attentive without being intrusive. The food choice on the menu was... More

Went on a groupon and can honestly say it was one of the best meals and places I have been to in a very long time - and I eat out 2 of 3 times a week. Place was really busy and it isn't that spacious, but waiting staff were friendly, informative and no delay in food. Excellent food, couldn't... More
