Lunchtime visit

We booked a table for opening time on a Sunday lunch and were first to arrive and be seated. Being our first visit we were able to take our time and soak in the features of the place which were clean, tidy, bare walled hung with monochrome photographs from 50's and early sixties movies. Upstairs... read more

I had chicken described as cooked in garlic, rosemary and BBQ sauce, what I actually got was a tasteless piece of chicken which I can only assume was cooked in advance without seasoning then BBQ sauce out of a bottle poured over the top and a sprig of rosemary on top of that, it was just about warm, vegetables were... Although like many others Ginos is the place to be when choosing a restaurant of choice. I cannot comprehend why people come out for a meal and complain only to get something for free in the end. I have worked in the restaurant and hotel trade myself and people don't realise how stressful this job can be. Another moan is... More

we attended Gino's to celebrate my grand-daughters 21st birthday. It was her choice to to there. This was my first visit. The put tables together so we all sat on one table. The portions of food is so large. I have been to other italian restaurants whose portions have reduced in size and you do not feel like you have... More

'We went to Gino's for my wife's birthday in a group of 4 (which is valentines day). There are several car parks within walking distance and Gino's is not on the main street in the bailgate area but in a back street so it is not the easiest to find. We went for lunch and it was very busy but the... More

Been here quite a few times as always a favourite with friends of friends and work do's etc however would never choose to come here if it was up to me. The food is good however I have never felt the service matches up. It is always rushed or I am sat in a draught by the door which is... More

Out of all the places in the bail, I wouldn't recommend going to Gino's. I feel like the quality of the food has gone down hill and for the price, you can dine in much nicer restaurants.

I've been to Gino's a few times now and it is fantastic! It is quite a small, intimate restaurant, but even so has a great atmosphere. Most of the staff are very welcoming and friendly, as well as being happy to help. We did however have a bad experience with one member of waiting staff, who didn't seem very happy... More
