My wife & I were given a Groupon voucher for this restaurant which was £25 for a taster menu for 2. I am not keen on Groupon vouchers as I am not overly convinced the businesses that offer them treat you as well as if you booked direct and were paying the going rate. Booking was a challenge, firstly you... More

Went yesterday (Thursday 26th June 2014) for the £5 lunch buffet, as recommended by work colleagues and was not disappointed. Good ambience and nice clean and calm atmoshphere. Starters were OK, the chicken wings were huge and the food generally was good. The main course was the best part of the meal, there was 3 veg curries and 3 meat... More

I would like to award 3.5 stars but this is not an option. This restaurant is different from your average Indian, it's a nicer place to be in and the food is different. I have a very low opinion of most so called Indian restaurants, as they serve concocted, non authentic, anglised invented in the UK rubbish and at least... More

I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday night so didn't have the noise problem as some of the other reviews stated. Inside the restaurant didn't look as nice as I thought from pictures. It actually looked really empty and most of the chairs were tatty. The food was expensive and I was expecting some amazing food but the food I... More

Our prices havent changed in the 4 years we have been open, and many have said that your menu provides good value. Especially our pre/post theatre options. Absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. This was made even better with the lovely service we received from their polite and friendly staff that served us. Would recommend highly.

On a Saturday night in the centre of Leicester we arrived for a 9pm dinner. The restaurant was very busy. We were met by Shahib who took us to the lounge where we ordered drinks and perused the menu at our leisure while listening to Chris on the Saxophone. Why look at the menu when Shahib simply asked what do... More

Had dinner on a GroupOn so this was always going to be excellent value. However, the ambiance and the food made this a really good evening. We had heard good things about the restaurant and were heartened to see it was fully booked when we visited. The food was perfect for us. We particularly enjoyed the king prawn starters. Would... Had a lovely 1st experience at chutney ivy when we ordered from the set menu, went last week for my birthday and seemed like a completely different place. Waited an hour for a table, noise levels shocking, I won't be going back

My son and I went for a lunch yesterday at approx. 12:15pm. We had the set meal that was excellent. Three courses each for £9.95. The food was lovely and fresh with lovely flavours. The service was excellent, just the right amount of attention and time between courses. I would definitely return. We were the only ones in there at... More

had an excellent evening , been to the theatre first so didn't get in till 1030.However they made us feel welcome & we were not rushed at all. The food was very good ,as was the atmosphere, I liked the background jazz musician. On the downside it is in a big space & lacks a bit of intimacy. I don't... More
