lovely meal

My husband and I had a really nice meal this past Monday, we had not realised that on Mondays main meals are two for one as long as you are having two courses this makes for a great saving as it can be quite expensive here but worth every penny. The food and service where really good and I would... read more

We have never been disappointed by Ashfields and a very busy Valentine's weekend Sunday Lunch did not change our opinion. The restaurant looked completely full but at all times the staff were friendly and attentive. We were a party of nine and in the area where we were sitting were parties of around eight and twenty, but at no time... More

Yet again we had a fantastic meal. The last time we dined there was 6 years ago and the food has not dropped in quality . Lovely place to eat . Do not understand how any1 could have a bad meal there. Loved it and will be back soon thanks to all the friendly staff .

The great thing about Ashfields is that it is reliably consistent and although the menu does not change very much, it manages to cater for most ages and tastes: useful when you're doing a family birthday celebration covering three generations. I tend to find that the specials board usually has the best choices and the guinea fowl was definitely the... More

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years but in the last couple of years I have come away disappointed every time..Last night's visit will be my last! The waiting staff are rude, abrupt and look bored, giving very poor service. The place is uncomfortably cold and draughty, the menu has not changed for years and the food is... More

Went for a meal to celebrate my niece`s 18th Birthday. The restaurant is popular because the bar was crowded and so was the restaurant itself. I had the 2 course meal option of the menu and had Chicken Liver pate for starter, then a well done steak for mains. The chicken liver pate was lovely & smooth, the melba toast... More

My husband and I wanted to take his parents and younger brother out for a lovely meal to celebrate his Dad's 69th birthday, and Ashfield's definitely didn't disappoint! I'd never been before but had been told it was his favourite, and I can now see why! Having worked in the hospitality industry for some years at a number of high... More

We have been using this restaurant 7 or 8 times a year for a long time, and whilst it is not perfect we have never been let down. We eat out 3 times a fortnight and this is used as the standard to judge others by. Almost every other restaurant in our area (Nuneaton) has let us down badly at... More

We went on a Monday night and it was really busy. I had prawn cocktail to start with which for £6.95 I thought was a bit overpriced for a few prawns and a bit of lettuce in a glass. I had steak for main and it came with like a pepper sauce with onions. Steak was a bit fatty but... More
