Good and Bad

My experience of Mrs Bridge's is both good and bad. The tea room itself was lovely and I throughout enjoyed my coffee with cream (which is a lot more difficult to get than you'd expect!). However I did witness a rude staff member who was trying to communicate with a couple who did not speak English... read more

Saw that Mrs Bridges had had good reviews and looked forward to our visit, although I left feeling disappointed. We arrived mid morning on a Thursday, 3 of us in our party and we sat downstairs. It felt quite cramped, we didn't realise there was more space and seating upstairs until later! I fancied some cake but the main things... More

Our family group of 6 dropped into Mrs Bridges for a Sunday morning breakfast. The good points: + Menu options suited all of us + Good value for everything we chose + The 'small' English breakfast was big enough for normal appetites The not so good points: - The interior has several rooms but all of these are fairly small,... Visited this tea room this week on a lunchtime for a quick sandwich. We ordered 2 hot pork, stuffing and black pudding sandwiches, mine without the black pudding. The sandwich arrived and promptly fell to pieces as I tried to pick it up which made me look inside. Lots of crumbled stuffing and 2 small slices (bacon depth slices) of... More

16 of us had afternoon tea today at Mrs Bridges Tea rooms. The tables were set out beautifully, the food was delicious and the service was brilliant. We will definitely come back soon. I would recommend it to everyone.

I have eaten here on many occasions & have yet to be disappointed, the staff are polite & professional with a good knowledge of the menu. Although a very traditional tea rooms offering afternoon teas & the like, there is also a modern & innovative twist to the menu. The sandwich choice is varied & innovative & the portions are... Lovely food and cakes, quirky building, friendly staff. A lovely place for a cup of tea or bite to eat. I can recommend the macaroons personally as well as the tiffin-yum!

Decided to visit Leicester for the day and remembered this tea rooms. Had a lovely ham, egg and chips lunch. a bit pricey but the chips were gorgeous and we could not finish them all. The staff were lovely and meals came quickly. The only downside was the eating areas were all a bit cold and food didn't stay hot... More

Went on a Sunday with some friends. I had a lovely veggie breakfast. The chips looked delish! Great value for the amount and quality of the food. Take a trip!
