Had a wonderful lunch here with family. We all enjoyed our individual meals. The atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately the toilets were super tiny and a bit messy and someone was building next door (which i know isn't there fault but the noise did take away from the pleasant atmosphere). Will definitely go back.

It's a tea room, but it is lovely if a little cramped in some areas, but that adds to the charm. Most of the clientele are there because they appreciate the atmosphere, and as such it attracts a certain kind of person: The type of person I am happy to hotch my chair in as they say "excuse me" to... We decided to have a light lunch here after looking at the menu. Our order was taken fairly quickly and the teas arrived swiftly but then we waited and waited and waited. We thought we had been forgotten although we knew other people that had ordered after us had not received their food yet. The time from ordering to receiving... More

Service was a bit slow but the food was very nice, lots to choose from and interesting sandwich fillings. Decor was in keeping with a tea room, but looked a bit tired in places.

For a tearoom, the menu gives you a variety of choice and is good value for money, with reasonable sized portions.

First visited as a student in 197...ahem...and it's still as good now. Soe of the staff **may** have changed, and the menu's been updated a bit, yet it remains the best team room of its type in Leicester. If you visit the city only once, you have to come here.

A friend and I visited for lunch one Wednesday and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety contained within the menu - salads, sandwiches (hot/cold), various sides and a good range of drinks were on offer. I went for the roast chicken and sausage sandwich - served on lovely fresh bread - with some garlic/Parmesan chips and a dandelion and... More

As a fan of tea and tea rooms I was severely disappointed in this one. Advertised as a tea room, it should be called a cafe. Expensive food, poor quality, tea bags and not loose tea, no offer of extra hot water for the tea pot. Seated at a small table for three people with uncomfortable seating, left for ages... More

visited this place for the first time on Sun afternoon with my daughter after reading the reviews on here and we loved it. My daughter who is quite a fussy eater really enjoyed the chicken and stuffing sandwiches and I had an afternoon tea with smoked salmon sandwiches and a cake and scones. We sat outdoors as the weather was... More

Absolutely love this place. So quaint, relaxing and fantastic quality. Will be taking a friend there next week for breakfast. Given the choice when in town I won't go anywhere else. (This is coming from a chef as well).
