Beware they do not accept credit or debit cards

very good food and service. But they do not accept credit cards and the sign that warns of this is small. Many people were caught out during our visit. What a shame as everything else was lovely.

This is a little gem whether for breakfast, lite lunch or something more substantial. The staff are friendly and the service is very good. There are daily specials with price options per courses. I particularly like the rarebit. Forget the larger franchise tea and coffee shops. Give this ago

We were on a shopping trip and decided to try the traditional afternoon tea at Mrs Bridges, the presentation was delightful, sandwiches very elegant, cakes scrumptious and the drinks very refreshing. The service was a it slow, but it was Saturday afternoon.

Mrs Bridges has been my favourite place to eat since moving to Leicester, and just keeps on delivering the great service, yummy and inexpensive food in it's quirky surroundings. On the last occasion I visited with my wife and 3 year old, My Daughter had the children's ploughman, and instead of the mild cheese we asked if she could have... More

We opted for Mrs Bridges instead of eating at our nearby hotel and were very glad we did. There are dining areas on the ground and first floor plus tables in the rear courtyard, so there is more space than you might expect from the street front. Good points: + Wide choice of breakfast options + Good value alternative to... More

Mrs. Bridges is a firm favourite in our household, with its thoughtful sandwich filling and moreish chips and Red Leicester. The staff are friendly and always accommodate my daughter's quirky eating habits. The only challenge for us is to find a seat outside because it is very small downstairs and not pushchair friendly! Also you must take note that Mrs.... More

Really nice place for a variety of lunch and tea foods. Soups and terrific sandwiches with an excellent selection available. Also a very interesting building with different rooms and spots for tables. Well worth tracking it down.

We had a classic cream tea here as part of Richard 111Experience. We were given our choice of sandwiches, cakes and scones with lots of cream. Everything was fresh and tasty. Excellent value for money.

We ate here for a late lunch and the food was very good. I had a lamb dish and my husband had a meat pie. We shared a lovely chocolate dessert with ice cream which was very nice indeed! The food was very good. We would certainly eat here again. We used to eat here for breakfast on a Saturday... More
