Cannot believe I have never eaten here before

In Leicester for lunch with a friend smoked salmon, cream cheese, advocado in a crusty baguette absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly and polite. When I mention the place to people they either say "Yes its been there for years" knowing all about it or others say where is it and say... read more

I came here on a friend's recommendation but I was really disapointed by the service and the quality/price. I paid more than 5£ for the "creme tea menu" which ended up being two halves (so basically one) scone and one tea. Although on the menu it said "scones" (so plural) I was therefore expecting to have several scones. Also, once... More

Had heard lots of good things about this place, but felt a bit disappointed. The menu states that creams teas/ afternoon teas have 'scones' and 'cakes' in plural, but in fact only a small scone in half is served. Would be nice to be able to put cream and jam on ourselves, and chose what tea to have. Also said... More

My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch here , the service was good and the staff were friendly . The menu was decent with a good choice of food and drinks . I Wasn't keen on what I ordered but I would go back again and try something different as other people's food looked good . A pleasant atmosphere... More

Superb tea rooms, friendly & helpful staff. Great menu, I had black pudding sandwiches, a treat for me. (I now live in Egypt) Recommend Mrs Bridges to anyone that likes the traditional English Tea Room.

Discovered Mrs Bridges a few years ago and love the place, the menu is always different and the puddings and cakes to die for. Excellent value for money and the staff always friendly and attentive. Today went for lunch and had lovely spanakopita, very generous portions but I always leave room for pudding, sampled the rhubarb icecream with ginger cake... More

I went in for breakfast as a treat one Sunday and was surprised to find it quiet despite Richard III's interment. I was left to choose my own seat and was greeted by a server with a menu. I ordered the Eggs Royale with smoked salmon which came with a choice of tea or coffee and was pleased to have... More

What luck to stumble on this gem of a cafe. Could not fault anything. If it was closer to home we would be there every day!!! The building itself dates back centures and is really beautiful and quaint. The menu has stacks of choice plus there is a specials board. The food was exceptionally good and rates as one of... More

We visited Mrs Bridges on an extremely busy day - when Richard III's coffin processed around the city. Despite this the young staff were charming and friendly and suggested we waited in the courtyard at a table for a seat inside, in the warm. They called us when a table was free, served us promptly and cheerfully with tasty, hot... More

Walked in off the street into Mrs bridges tea room and was greeted by a bustling tea room with friendly staff. We found a table in the corner and choose our sandwiches from an extensive and varied menu. The bread was super soft and the fillings were so tasty. Lots of different breads to choose from and the cakes looked... More
