We had visited here on a number of occasions and couldn't wait to get back to try again. I ordered chicken in a basket which was delicious. However my husband ordered fish and chips and was disappointed as there was no side of bread and butter - which used to be included but not now must be ordered at an... More

we went to Blackpool last Saturday night to see a show at the Grand and decided to eat at Harry Ramsden's. I had the mixed reviews but still wanted to try, and many places shut mid January. The décor was very nice, the restaurant looked very clean and the staff welcoming. It wasn't very busy as quite early, about 18... More

Firstly i have no sympathy for anyone who says things like 'it is expensive just for a bit of fish and a few chips' because if that's what you want you dont go to HR's in the first place. We opted to dine here as it was one of the few eateries in the immediate vicinity that did not have... More

Why Why do people queue up for this, We was lucky and walked straight in however whilst we was eating people was waiting possibly 15-30 mins and I cant understand why its a glorified expensive chippy you can go to the North Pier and get the same meal if not more for less money.

Me, my Mrs and my daughter went on Saturday evening, Blackpool itself was a Ghost town, but Harry Ramsdebs was busy. They were short staffed, but as the staff were busy, we tolerated the 10 minute wait. The staff were polite and helpful, and apologetic, the manager even attended each table to apologise for the delay!! Great personnel service. Spot... More

We went to Harry Ramsden's Blackpool for fish & chips as we had spent three days looking for a chip shop that served real chip shop chips made with real fresh potatoes (not frozen ones). We were not disappointed at all. We had a soup starter and a small cod and chips each. The fish was a decent size, it... More

We found the restaurant nice and clean and quite busy for the time of year, however we did wait a little longer than expected for our fish and chips. We chose this restaurant probably because of the name but in hindsight there are better fish and chip places in Blackpool (in our opinion) nearby and much cheaper.

As a Yorkshireman I know the name to be famous for fish and chips but having visited the restaurant chain a couple of times I am still not sure why. We paid 9.99 each for a small fish described as a regular portion and an extra 3.98 between us for three slices of bread and butter which seemed to be... More
