We ate here on 19th June as part of our 10th wedding anniversary celebrations. Before we had even had our starters, we knew we had picked the right place. The staff were incredibly friendly with so much attention paid to the small details. The appetisers were scoffed quickly-mini pork pies and prawn toast which were a delight. Mini homemade loaves... Sadly, whilst Blackpool is my home town...I am hard pressed to find excellent cuisine and food APART from at this restaurant. Not far from the seafront, it is near the Grand Theatre, Winter Gardens and Opera House. The two gentlemen who run it, Marco and Tony deserve a medal for there delightful food, excellent service, fine choice of House wines... More

I called to enquire if we needed to book a table or just drop in I was told I had to make a booking, which I did for 30 minutes later and upon arrival the restaurant was completely empty and remained that way for all 3 courses. The food was quite nice and we chose from the special offer menu,... More

Delicious, ample, freshly prepared food with some imaginative touches. Friendly staff. Very good value. We especially enjoyed the home-made sweet basil ice-cream although everything else was delicious too. Special offer prices 6-7pm but you can book for later. Convenient location between the Tower and Blackpool North Station.

The menu choices from the fixed menu were very good. There were a few of us and we either chose fish or chicken. I was a little disappointed with my chicken. It wasn't piping hot and the vegetables were over cooked. Presentation and service were both good. I think that the fish option was the better of the four available.

Well.. Where better to spend our first Valentine's Day as a married couple than at the home-restaurant of our wedding chef? Marco Calle! You won't find better food anywhere. Marco's attention to detail and utter perfection make it one of the best places we've ever eaten! The delicious home-made bread, quirky starters, filling main and VERY nice deserts had us... More

We were visiting Blackpool for a conference at the Winter Gardens. We checked Trip Advisor for somewhere to eat and came across this gem! We had a table booked for 7pm and were the only people there to start with the Waiter/Owner was friendly and chatty. We had 3 courses each followed by a liqueur coffee. Each of the courses... More

When we visit Blackpool it now goes without saying that we will dine at Kwizeen. We try to taste something different each visit but I keep getting drawn to the steak, always cooked to perfection and the sauce-yummy yum! Couldn't manage a dessert this time but the strawberry souffle that another diner had looked and smelt divine! Thank you Marco... More

Visited on 28 Feb 2014 and had an excellent meal yet again. Always made to feel at home. Mini breads and mini fish an chip appetizers were divine. Quality of food reflects the quality of fresh ingredients used combined with a quality chef - not forgetting front of house. The sweets especially the assiette are always scrumptious. We need to... It was a nice surprise for us to meet the talented chef, Marco, in person! I am a self-claimed foodie and won't bother reviewing something unless it's worth my time mentioning. Upon arrival the chef popped out to bring us some deep fried Lancashire cheese spring rolls. What a lovely contrast in texture, cripsy outside, marshmellowy inside. We also had... More
