The food is excellent - first class

We booked into here as part of the Neil Diamond VIP concert, the menu was a set one and as such it was fixed. We were given canapes which were excellent, the starter was a very good selection which for my mum that only eats plain English food meant we could mix and match. The main course was lamb... read more

Relaxed atmosphere, run by a friendly and helpful staff. Some tables overlook the football field, so the resturant has added interest. The menu, although relatively small, has some wonderful variations, eg Steak and Haggis pie - fantastic! Good value for money too!

Visited this restaurant with friends earlier in the week and had a fabulous experience! Ended up being served by the restaurant manager (Claire) and she was faultless! Pendle chicken was recommended followed by sticky toffee pudding, delicious! I will be returning again in a hurry especially if I can guarantee Claire again!

What a fabulous restaurant and the staff were amazing. Really friendly and helpful with a great atmosphere. Couldn't do enough for you. The food was exceptional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Don't know which restaurant the person who gave 1 star feedback was referring to, but it certainly wasn't Rowley's.
