Excellent Family Pub.

The Auctioneer is a lovely pub serving tasty food at good value for money prices. We stay in Blackpool several times a year and we always have a meal here. The staff are friendly and efficient and the pub is always clean and has a good atmosphere.

I visited today at lunchtime with my friend brian. We had pints of cask ale and they were great and only £1.95!!! I had carrot cake and large filter coffee deal at £2.69 and because it was before 2pm I could have endless coffee refills .I had 3!!! It was warm, clean, smoke and music free and staff were very... It's Whetherspoons, so no surprises. Food is good catering quality, plentiful, hot, freshly cooked and good value. Went early evening on day of big storms but was busy. Beer was well kept, food presented quickly by staff who asked me three times if I was happy. If there were Michelin stars for beer then Whetherspoons would be a contender -... More

We normally call in this public house to have a few beers on a weekly basis. The staff are very friendly and recognise us when we visit, and as we are not local to the area i feel this is excellent service. They know what we drink and like to recommend drinks to us. Having eaten in several of the... More

We had an afternoon meal and drink in this pub while visiting Blackpool for the World Matchplay darts. Staff were friendly enough, service fine, food was typical wetherspoons grub and overall good value. Would call in again on any future Blackpool trips.

Popped in for a nice afternoon drink, pub had nice atmosphere - wasn't too busy. Prices very good and staff friendly. Not far from promenade, under a 10 minute walk along Lytham Road.

The good thing about this pub is the cheap drinks, the food and surroundings. The bad thing about this pub esp in the evenings is the undesirable element it attracts, loud drunken obnoxious people, some coming in from the rowdy pub next door. The staff dont take a blind bit of notice, preferring instead to get the decent clientel out as... More

Sorry to hear you were unhappy with the way the staff worked on this occasion we always strive to keep a good atmosphere in the pub and keep our customers happy but it sounds on this occasion you felt we failed. sometimes in season it can get a bit noisy but we will always intervene if it gets too rowedy.... We dined here whilst on a break to Blackpool. The food & service was up to usual Wetherspoons standard, and we decided to return on two further evenings. Unfortunately, we where unable to get a table despite having a drink and waiting at the bar. The pub does not run any sort of 'system' for the allocation of its tables... More

Unremarkable 'spoons in a former auction house, far enough from the front to avoid the worst of the seaside mayhem and used mostly by locals. Usually quiet (probably due to its location) but clean, comfortable and welcoming enough with friendly, polite staff, well presented food and cheap booze. Compared with some of the pubs and diners around here, this place... More
