Better than the Velvet Coaster? (for food)

Went for Friday tea time treat with no washing up! I had the Fish and chips (Friday Club) and my wife had the chicken strips, both came with a descent amount of chips (at last) and the meals were very good and hot. We both think that the food served at the Auctioneer is better than the Velvet... read more

Been calling at this Wetherspoons for years and never had a bad meal yet! Located near to the premier inn so never gets ignored on the walk back! We has two there on this visit. In the evening we had the pulled pork hog burger served with chips and onions rings, complete with a drink, for £6.35 each. Every morsel... More

Having viewed the website for Blackpool FC, we decided to give the Auctioneer a try. It was within easy walking distance of Bloomfield Road, and having been to numerous other Wetherspoon's we went and weren't disappointed. The one thing about any Wetherspoon's is that you get what you ordered. Although the pub was full of football supporters the wait for... More

Nice place relaxed and friendly. Good food at good prices (typical weather spoons). Great selection of beers all at very reasonable prices.

we had the roast beef dinner...vegs ok but beef very artificial looking and rubbery,,no taste to it...also very sparse on the gravy so made the dinner quite dry..if you want more you have to pay extra. to be fair ive been before for steak and it was lovely but wont be having the roast again...not worth over 7quid each

We visited here before and after attending a match at Bloomfield Road. The place is clean and airy and the staff very friendly as indeed are the customers. The food is good and reasonably priced as tends to be the case in Wetherspoons pubs.

I haven't been in a wetherspoons for a number of years but I'm glad we went to this one, hubby's fish and my pulled pork burger were fetched in a timely manner, freshly cooked and tasted lovely. Excellent value too. All the staff we saw were friendly pleasant and cheerful.
