Excellent food and service

After a bad meal at the Velvet Coaster yesterday, we had two steaks etc at the Auctioneer. Certainly not disappointed. Food was piping hot and served with a friendly smile and promptly. One of us had apple crumble, highly recommended. Going there for a lager later. Top marks !!!

We arrived in Blackpool today for a short break to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. We eat at wether spoons fairly regularly so we know what to expect. The food here was great, hot and fresh. The staff were very friendly, especially Scott who waited on us, he was helpful, polite and friendly. We will definitely be back again!

After checking out all four Wetherspoon pubs in Blackpool - a few times each - over the period of a week, I believe that The Auctioneer is the best of the bunch. It is set near the Pleasure Beach and a few streets back from the front, so it doesn't seem to attract as many stag and hen parties or... More

I've been going for years as it's my local, but it's the first visit in ages. I went in at 09:00 for a breakfast and there was loads of common types starting on the ale. Nothing against that, but their kids were running amok and the swearing was uncalled for at that hour - around children and those just eating.... More

I went on a Sunday afternoon with my dad and his girlfriend. We all took a shine to the "all day breckfasts" service was quick and the food was perfect! Staff are great, tall lad on the bar was very helpful. Can't remember his name. All in all our visit was great, not the first time we've been and certainly... More

You cannot go far wrong with a 'spoons as they are mostly similar and produce standard food. I use them every week. This place appears to be frequented by mainly locals. Service was good and prices cheap as always. Auction houses are known for great deals and the 'clientelle' appeared to want to keep up with the name of the... More

I have visited the Auctioneer Wetherspoon a few times, the managers & staff are polite & pleasant however I have been impressed with one of the managers in particular, (I overheard someone calling him Stewart.) I do not normally post reviews but felt like this manager I encountered a couple of times should be recognized for the great way he... More
