Our first visit to Blackpool, a place I had always avoided, and the Empress Grill Room helped change our preconceptions. We visited prior to seeing a show at the Opera House and selected 2 courses for £12.00. Choice of food was good and the service and quality excellent. We were served quickly, enjoying a leisurely meal before the show. Our...

We booked for 6pm as show started at 7.30. Seemed reasonable menu for £12 for two courses. Starters served (pâté which was fine) and cleared away. 6.30 still waiting for main course. At 6.40 we reminded them we were going to a show and they said they would hurry things along. Still waiting at 7 o'clock. Front of house staff...

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant in the fabulous Art Deco Winter Gardens and such a shame that nothing else is good about it. We went for a pre show meal and the set menu was very basic food. Nothing wrong with that if it is well cooked, which it wasn't. We had the sharing platter to start with, the...

It was my first visit and the way that this stylish restaurant has been incorporated within the newly refurbished victorian splendour of Blackpool's winter gardens is fabulous.
However on the Saturday night preceding Christmas to be the only table in a restaurant offering I estimate about a hundred covers meant the the restaurateurs had the almost impossible task of providing...

A little gem hidden away in Blackpool !! We had Sunday lunch and it was delicious. Silver service, beautifully presented and every mouthful was divine. You must try it! The setting in the winter gardens is beautiful....you would never realise you were in Blackpool!! Our waiter was fantastic too...thank you!
booked for a pre show meal. Was very dissappointed with the menu, the only menu to choose from is a set menu, struggled to choose something, only really wanted a main course as well. The place itself is nicely done but unfortunately we were the only diners in that night so no atmosphere at all and its a big restaurant...

I went for a pre-show dinner with 2 friends last Saturday evening and we were all delighted with the quality of the meal, the attentiveness of the staff and the beautiful restaurant.
It is the perfect restaurant pre-show or just for a quality dinner at any time. The pre-show menu had excellent choices - we didn't have time for a...

The food was excellent and well presented. We were quickly seated at a table, menus and drinks provided but then forgotten - no one to take the order till we highjacked a passing staff member. The staff did not appear to know which table had ordered which food and provided entertainment by wandering from table to table with hot dishes,...

First vist to the Empress Grill Room. We booked for Sunday lunch. The food was freshly prepared and the service was faultless. The beef was succulent and tender & the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The 'Heathcotes' bread and butter pudding was divine. Great value considering the quality. We have already made plans to return.
